Villagers are growing more desperate after a vaccine provider skipped town with their sensitive data as the Coronavirus continues to spread like wildfire. Despite the concerns about the Global Medical Response collecting sensitive personal information for a "free" vaccine, the operation seemed to take on some respectability when Gov. Ron DeSantis visited the site in The Villages last week.

"But the real questions concern the apparent disappearance of the promised doses of the vaccine.

"I really wonder where the report of 90,000 available doses to be distributed for 90 days came from. Was it researched by governor's office before it was accepted without proof? I am really upset because friends in various parts of the country, including New Jersey are being inoculated."

Many Villagers were relieved in December when the governor visited The Villages in December promising that seniors would not have to wait for the vaccine. The governor watched that day as five high-profile Villagers with GOP ties received the vaccine.

"It is ridiculous that people that are compromised that are 65 and up cannot get a vaccine. People that aren't even compromised are given priority. That's just not right," said 66-year-old Julie Macintyre.

"DeSantis will never get my vote again," she added."

Bad DeSatanist!

Are Villagers now in danger of an angry Trumper plowing into a crowd with their golf cart?

That is the defining characteristic of republiturdism.

Nothing summed it up better than people on Medicare protesting against government provided health care.

Yeah, kind of like when the GOP leaders kept telling people to wear masks and social distance but were then caught time and time again not wearing masks or social distancing. Oh wait, that was the Dems. Or telling the country to shut down and causing people to lose work, not be able to pay rent, etc. and then whine that people aren't able to work, pay their mortgage, etc.

Pointing the finger at something both parties do regularly just makes you look stupid, not your target.

Are there DRers who live in the Villages? I just can't believe it is posted on here multiple times this year. I know they are a huge retirement community in a state that is historically for retirees but I didn't know it was so big that it garnered this kind of attention.

Ron DeSantis is doing a great job of convincing Floridians to vote Dem. If Ivanka wants to make her senatorial dream come true, she had better show up Wednesday afternoon with a lot of vaccine doses. If not, every Dem candidate for senate in 2022 (and even Li'l Marco) will be posting slideshows of her and Ronny D. on every TV channel and part of the internet they can find.

DeSantis has about 15 minutes to fix this, if he wants to keep his job...

There probably never was 90,000 doses of vaccine and that probably wasn't the real Global Medical Response company.

www.globalmedicalresponse.com

My guess is DeSantis screwed up.

And there's this from Global Medical Response:

"01.16.2021
Global Medical Response (GMR), announced today that it has suspended the operation of the mass vaccination site in Sumter County Florida due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the national supply of COVID-19 vaccines. "

The Villages is in Sumter County. So there never was any 90,000 doses and everybody counted their chickens before the eggs were hatched.

People who live in The Villages are spoiled brats.
