Nearly 200,000 Flags Represent Those who Cannot Attend

In lieu of the crowds of spectators that fill the National Mall for a typical inauguration, this year the iconic stretch of land will be filled with nearly 200,000 flags, representing the thousands of people who cannot attend because of the coronavirus pandemic and tight security in the nation's capital.

It doesn't matter. QAnon is sorely disappointed in Trump. He promised so much and delivered so little. After the blusterbust on January 6, I heard one member say, "It wasn't supposed to be like this." Others have scattered to the four corners, or their mother's basement, with the FBI hot on their trail. Other have suddenly developed a conscience and turned themselves in. I heard some have even shaved their beards and got jobs.

With Trump out of commission the remaining hardcore will be looking for another false prophet to follow. It seems like Ted Cruz is ready and willing to fill the vacuum. He's going to need their wrath when he tries to follow in Trump's footsteps.

Since Willowby enjoys being a glutton for punishment, he should be betting on Ted Cruz.

History will go down as Biden having a terrible audience for his inauguration. Trump did better. Facts about context don't matter, at least they haven't matter for Dems in a long time...so they can't dispute this. The fact is, no matter how you look at it, that Biden had lower numbers. You can fact check it all you want, it won't change. Sure, I have no doubt it would have been a lot higher than Trump but going by how Dems have fact checked many things in the last 4 years, context doesn't matter. He had lower numbers.

Dems, welcome to the hypocrisy you are going to start getting from the Reps. You started the moronic fact checking trend where most of the facts checked are done so without context. Well, now it's your turn. As a human being, I would love Reps to not do it but as an American, we can all deduce by now that isn't possible. The party not in power will do all of the things that the other party did when they were in power, and will most likely lower the bar. It's pretty much a fact unto itself in this day and age.

It's pretty much a fact "in this day and age" that some Senate Republican obstructionists are still hard at work trying to destroy democracy ~ namely Ted Cruz and his wingman, John Hawley.

I do welcome it. Words matter. Even the best politicians bend the truth. Now the media can hold them accountable. Problem is that the boomers do not have the facilities to think critically about their choice politicians, so we won't get too far right now with even the most extensive of fact checking (because the boomers won't pay attention to them). But, I consider it progress.

But also, your false equivalence is BS. Conservatives just straight up LIED during the past four years. And even when they were called out on their lies, they just doubled down on them and told more lies on top of them. I hope that conservatives fact check Biden as much as liberals fact checked Trump. I can only see that as good for the country. But I even more wish that conservatives would actually start paying attention to fact checks instead of just believing what they "want" to be true. Because it is pretty clear that liberals hold themselves to much higher standards than conservatives do.

Republican congressman attended the rally/riot/insurrection on Jan 6, some of them entering the Capitol building, in an obvious pro-Trump mob, and they back pedaled when the fecal matter hit the fan, many of them blaming 'antifa' and 'leftists'.

That's right where the like 'the truth' - anything they say it is.
