President Joe Biden was sworn into office on Wednesday, and some believers in the QAnon conspiracy theory have apparently realized that they have wasted years of their lives believing in a complete fabrication.

"Ron Watkins, a major QAnon booster whom some have suspected of being "Q" himself, posted a note of resignation on his Telegram channel on Wednesday afternoon.

"We have a new president sworn in and it is our responsibility as citizens to respect the Constitution," he wrote. "As we enter into the next administration please remember all the friends and happy memories we made together over the past few years."

These people's behavior led to the death of 5 at the capitol, a failed insurrection, and god knows how many people dead from C-19 based on misinformation and lies. And now "Okay folks, time to pack it up and go home."

As though their local minor league baseball team just lost a playoff game, ending their season. "There's always next year" is the feel I get from these posts. Simply amazing the lack of self-awareness and accountability. Absolute ------- delusional cowards every last one of them: 75% of Republicans still do not view Biden election as legitimate.

Suck it up, you cucks.

...Supporters of former President Donald Trump who thought he was about to stop the inauguration, seize power and crush his enemies were left blinking in the sunlight Wednesday as President Biden took the oath of office.

Why it matters: ...

Axios does a good job suming up what happened in that short article.

But this line stands out...

..."Jesus was dead for three days before he was resurrected. Never lose hope," read another on a separate forum for QAnon believers....

Woof.

New rule for anyone that fell for the qanon conspiracy:

From now on you're only allowed to vote in favor a better science and education and politicians who championed STEM.

If a topic doesn't involve that and neither politician is a major booster then you don't vote.

I witnessed something similar from some Facebook friends..

Started out with "Still waiting," followed by something about everything being OK because the military and FEMA were in control, and that the inauguration had to be completed in order for the crime to occur.

The military had never not been in control. The military was doing exactly what they should have been doing.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around the huge quantity of fools, suckers and idiots who believed Qanon. It was all so transparently ridiculous, and yet well over 100,000 Americans genuinely bought into it. Many of them still believe it. I realize most of them come from relatively uneducated backgrounds and lower middle class roots, but that does not explain the huge leap of gullibility these people made to ever buy into what Qanon was touting. PT Barnum was correct. A sucker is born every minute.

But if you don't understand civics, you won't get it.

The understanding (as I understand it) appears to have been that the US military was going to arrest Biden and other Democrats, before installing Trump as some sort of dictator or king.

That's not a conclusion that someone with a sharp understanding of the constitution could have ever come to.

I don't even know what those damn things are for. Maybe in 1950 it was hard to get booze or coffee...now I can get both for cheaper on the economy, and it's usually better quality.

I do like the fact that I can go into a military store and get a magnum of vodka. The local stores only sell small bottles.

The host of a current events radio show I listen to out of LA read some posts from one of the Reichwing sites on her show yesterday. The Cultists were crying about Biden being inaugurated instead of arrested, and somebody posted that Dotard and President Biden had top secret face exchange surgery, so when you saw President Biden taking the oath of office, it was really Trump who would even stumble when reading to mimic President Biden's speech patterns, and when you see Trump on trial later this year, it'll really be President Biden. I'm not sure how that works, unless Combover Quisling also got about 125 pounds of fat sucked out of fat gut and fatter ---. I'm not sure if it was intended to funny, but it is EXACTLY the kind of Batschitt crazy garbage we'd see from the human pustules that follow Q.

Cigarettes were marginally cheaper than buying them on the street.
But it wasn't nearly as good a deal as buying beers at 50c for domestics and 75c for microbrews at the BOQ, stateside.
Then again, is subsidizing beer for the military really a sensible policy for the taxpayers?

My absolute favorite gem was a lady saying since Trump had 17 flags at his speech after the swearing in of Biden AND Q is the 17th letter in the alphabet, it's another covert sign that Trump is still working to take down the conspiracy of Liberals or that Biden is somehow a rogue agent working with Trump.

Second place goes to "Ted Cruz spoke in front of a red tractor and everyone in the military knows what a red alert is. It's another sign."

They will believe ANYTHING.

That's not, or shouldn't be a partisan thing. It's a reality/delusion thing. Unless you are a mental health worker, there is no need for a rational human being to associate with these people.

They don't live in the real world and they want to destroy the real world.

Especially if you are defending America I can't see how you would embrace these literal terrorist sympathizers. If it was an Islamic delusion you would be in Gitmo based solely on your Facebook page and we both know that.
