The whole day was designed to raise America's spirits ~~ out and far away from the doom and gloom pallor Trump left behind.

Mostly, real America started to take deeps breaths of relief. No more Mr. Pigface!

Hint to Twinpac,

There's 50% of the nation who dont think like you. Keep that in mind.

BOAZ

You've heard of majority rule, haven't you?

I don't know where you came up with "50%." That sure wasn't reflected on November 3rd nor during the tabulation of the electoral votes.

Maybe you're thinking those hoodlums on January 6 were 50% of the population. I did hear one of them say "America has arrived." ~ LOL

When Trump won in 2016 all we heard was how everyone had to listen to Trump voters. Now that Trump has lost in 2020 we are still hearing that we need to listen to Trump voters. Is anyone telling Trump voters that they need to listen to the rest of us for a change? Or better yet, how about both sides need to listen to each other?

Why? You didnt "listen" to us from the beginning. Why should we "listen" to you? It goes both ways you know.

But I think we can establish that no one is "listening" to each other.

We did listen to Trump voters who were frequently interviewed in focus groups. We listened, we didn't agree with some of what they said and that was it: no subsequent dialogue.

Cute.

How many Progressives made the claim "not my president" in regards to Donald Trump. Now many of Trump's supporters are saying the same about Biden. Opposite sides of the same coin.

I think quite a few.

Step it back to the Obama years, there were many Republicans sating much the same. If the ghost of Reagan runs with a (D) in front of his name, there are going to be those who will make the "not my president" claim.

It's partially political theater, partially about playing dirty if it benefits the party's brand value.

And after Trump, theater and playing dirty are really the only things the Republicans have left.

We all know it really means "America united until a Republican is in office", then it's back to 2016-2020 for them.

If the majority of Republicans who voted for these representatives think Biden won the election, it should be easy for those members of Congress to admit it as well.

Here's the thing dude, and I know that this will probably exceed any sense of comprehension you may have...I'm not a Republican. If anything, after the last four years, I'm more of a Democrat. But the fact is that a lot of Democrats, and certainly those who lean further left, are no different than their right wing counterparts. They're more than willing to engage in the same efforts that their counterparts do, even while claiming that they're not doing it. Or at best, that it's justified.

But the biggest mistake you make is claiming that I have a side. Really, I don't. And I think that by the virtue of the fact that I'm not on your side, I'll always be on their side.

The answer is- the worse side, because you're making it seem like the better side is just as bad, which helps the worse side get elected.

Furthermore, democrats ostracize their extremists. Republicans ELECT theirs. Repubs just sent a Qanon cult member to congress. Have dems sent any communists, marxists, anarchists, or antifa members to congress?

Who am I helping by calling out the bad actors on one side while ignoring the bad actors on the other side.

In fact here, that get's me accused of a whole lot of "whataboutism." Which is really just our lefty friends trying to minimalize the actions of bad actors on the left while highlighting those on the right.

last week, many of the same personalities who had been calling for Trump to call out the troops to crush antifa protester were livid that a right-wing protester had been killed trying to break into the Capitol building. They made claims similar to those that had been made by the left in reponse to left-wing riots over the summer.

But if you ask Corky, one side had a legitimate right to protest, while the other didn't. And comparing them is a little somethin' we call "whataboutism."

#38 | Posted by madbomber at 2021-01-21 03:10 PM | Reply

"Furthermore, democrats ostracize their extremists. Republicans ELECT theirs."

Do they?

They really haven't yet. Most of the noise we heard over the summer was that Trump was inciting violence by calling in Law Enforcement, and that most protesters were peaceful in nature, even if they were surrounded by those engaged in violence.

But that may have just been politics. The far left continue to engage in violent activity across the country, even protesting Biden's inauguration. With Trump gone, it may well be the case that Democratic lawmakers and politicians go fangs out and crush this trash. Ted Wheeler is already saying he will be going after them. They did try and beat him up after all.

There's a reason "rioters" and "insurrectionists" are distinguished from each other.

I do not understand why you're REFUSING (as in willfully choosing) to distinguish the two. Had the rioters in Portland wanted to overthrow the government like Trump's MAGAts, they would have gone to the capitol to do it, you know, cuz that's where the federal government is located, traveling to it being a requirement to enact an insurrection (again, exactly what the MAGAts did).

Why thank you! That was a very nice thing to say about me and my fellow Dems who kicked butt and took names (legally) and are now in charge of 2 branches of the us government.

Sorry...I have nothing else nice to say about you.

Don't be scared, silly. Help is on the way!

Just stop lying and you will be fine. You might even get some of that sweet sweet health care and some of that pandemic assistance that they get in other advanced nations.

(As long as you didn't violently attack or assist in the insurrection at your own capitol "based on a big lie"then you will be fine... otherwise you might just be going to prison. So not as fine as you could be for a while yet)

Now is the time for Cons to be the bigger person. I'd really love to see them make an effort at unity. Do what the Dems want. Don't bash them. Work with them. If you don't get your way, just note it down. Then, when a Rep is in office, see what happens. Do they treat Reps the same? If so, great! If not, then you have the proof you need of which party is actually trying to practice unity and not just say it.

Obviously it won't happen but that's how we should be working. As it stands today, both parties are full of people who think unity means they get what they want.

BOTH PARTIES

Did BOTH PARTIES throw away all their previous principles to join the cult of a con man?

Did BOTH PARTIES thwart the will of the founders to steal supreme court seats?

Did BOTH PARTIES leave a proven traitor in the white house after he was caught blackmailing foreign nations into inventing dirt on his political opponents?

Did BOTH PARTIES get hundreds of thousands killed by publicly downplaying a deadly pandemic?

YOUR PARTY is the problem, you gullible little cult member. MY PARTY is too smart and patriotic to behave like your klan favored dunce convention.

Biden's Classy Call for an 'America United'

There is no uniting with deplorables (aka racists, secessionists, etc.). If they clean up their act and reach out to the dems in a good faith effort, yes, the dems should extend their hand. Until then, F them.

They're a good faith effort to save this country from what your cult has done to it. That's a higher priority than giving comfort to fascist losers.

Wrong

Popular vote

Biden 81,268,757 51.3%
Trump 74,216,722 46.9%

In a democracy, 50% + 1 is a majority.

In a democracy, 50% + 1 is a majority.

I got this! It's not a Democracy, it's a Republic!

So:

Biden 306 57%

Lewzer 232 43%

Just to save Boaz the trouble.

Clown,

"All genders competing together is the future."

Dirty little secret.

Most gay men are misogynist.

Is it any wonder they don't care about women being denied their own space and being forced to compete against people with male physiques?

"All genders competing together is the future."

Now it's gay men forcing women to take 2nd place.

Straight men are the ones forcing women to take 2nd place.

Since the dawn of time.

Go to any country ruled by conservatives theocrats.

Saving america is addressing a lethal crisis (which has killed 1% of the country) that your cult leader ignored, while your useless moronic cult whines about gays and trans nonsense.

You don't care about mass death but you care about wrestlers' --------. Denying your homosexuality really screwed up your brain.
