While paramedics were on a call, a Texas man last night jumped into an ambulance and drove the vehicle, with its lights flashing, to a Jack in the Box, where he ordered food at the drive-through lane, cops say.

It's too bad he didn't go to a Taco Bell. One could've mused that he really was trying to make a run for the border.

MADSCIENTIST will likely agree with me that the ultimate ambition of many Texans is to steal an ambulance or police car and eat at a fast food restaurant.

3 and a half years of free health care.

Not long now until it's commonplace to commit a property crime just to get access to health care.

And you get to pay for it.

My government teacher in high school said he'd known people so desperate that they committed robberies just to get medical care. That was in 1988. We should've gone the British and European route after WWII.
