"He also said the police officer who fatally shot a Trump supporter during the attack "deserves to die" and won't "survive long" because it's "huntin[g] season."

Prosecutors said in newly released court documents that Miller posted extensively on social media before and during the attack, saying a "civil war could start" and "next time we bring the guns."

He was arrested on Wednesday, according to the Justice Department. Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to keep him in jail pending trial, and a detention hearing is scheduled for Monday."

Lock him up!

Clint Broden, a lawyer for Miller, told CNN Saturday that his client "certainly regrets what he did."

Sure he does. Now. Enjoy prison, asshat.

Who was the idiot here last week that was complaining that AOC was making the insurrection all about her?

"He did it in support of former President (Donald) Trump, but regrets his actions.

Repug filth have proved that they're more than willing to kill for the demented bunker bitch.

It's funny I don't even like Cortez and I still want to kick his ass for threatening her like that while invading the capital.

He's from Richardson, a Dallas suburb. Maybe he'll share a cell with Trump and they can recount old times.

Don't kid yourself. Money talks.

If Trump goes to prison it will be at a Club Fed that has a 9-hole golf course.

Just another young punk with long hair and a beard. Do they still insist on proper grooming and the other simple things in prison?
Or is that considered "mean" to attempted murdering grubrats?

The FBI already announced they are considering dropping charges against most rioters. It's too much to process.

Well that will be a big ol' green light to insurrectionists across the country.

The FBI already announced they are considering dropping charges against most rioters. It's too much to process. Because they're all white conservatives.

It's not like they're children seeking asylum that can be kept in cages until we figure out what to do with them.

It's not like they were peaceful protesters, throw into riot vans and arrested for public demonstrations.

At this point I'm not even sure why Biden won. Just feels like prolonging the inevitable. Fascism has found a home in the hearts and minds of conservatives and it's here to stay.

There's hours upon hours of footage of Republican leaders inciting these actions. These rioters. These seditionists.

What is the Democratic leadership doing?

Trying to find unity with these people.

We're f**ked.

There have been internal discussions about forgoing charges against those who were not involved in any violence or vandalism but were simply trespassing or 'going along with the crowd,' The Washington Post reported.

But the Post report indicates that those talks are only in their early stages and no decisions have been made.

DOJ and FBI officials are mindful of the fact that declining to charge rioters could be perceived as the federal government condoning political violence and unlawful behavior.

Those who support bringing charges against all of the rioters argue that doing so would bring a measure of deterrence that would make others think twice about engaging in similar acts in the future, according to the Post.

A bit of a stretch. The vast, overwhelming majority of that crowd was peaceful. Charges usually get dropped for most people rounded up in protest mass arrests.

It is extremely important to impose a crippling, financial cost for these crimes, squarely upon the financial shoulders of each and every Sedition/Insurrectionist who participated of the deadly January 6th Raid on America's Capitol.

Yes, the worst offenders, the murderers, et.al. must face serious legal charges; likely Capital charges.

Other Perps of violent acts must face felonious charges.

While some will merit lesser counts, according to their actions; each and every insurrectionist must face charges according to the seriousness of their violent actions and exposed violent conspiracies.

Each must be forced to go through charging, arrest, and bonding. Those who face lesser charges must be forced to dance the legal dance; hire a lawyer, miss work for court appearances, lose wages and pay heavy fines, etc.

This process must be punitive, and must pack a huge financial punch--back, with immediate Loss of retirement privileges, and government benefits for Federal, State, and Municipal retired government employees, military, and Law Enforcement Officers implicated in the Lethal insurrection, back dated to 1/6/2021, the date of their active insurrection and Sedition.

Those who conspired to assassinate America's elected representatives: Pence, AOC, et.al. and who conspired to overturn the legitimate election, must be slammed with an unflinching financial clenched fist, holding the book, then then the court can proceed 'throw the book at them'.

If we wish to keep our Democratically Elected Process legitimate, we must impose, the absolute awareness and primal knowledge, that crushing financial, and legal penalty will inexorably follow each and every conspiratorial and Seditious, action, for all who chose to overthrow the Government of The United States of America, and the individual States and Local Governments.

Any penalty short of a Court imposed 'Financial Death Penalty' for the Seditionist Rabble is sure surrender to the Fascist bully thugs.

Aw well that's so much better. Most of them wanted to PEACEFULLY overthrow democracy. Only a few were willing to VIOLENTLY overthrow democracy.

What a bunch of patriots you are.

We'll see won't we?

Depends on how good a lawyer them seditious nuts can afford. And how far away they were from ground zero. I would imagine charges would be gradually be more severe the further inside you got.

Regardless.

Makes me smile to know that they will all have to get lawyers. And good ones ain't cheap. Sure glad I don't need one!

So. We will see.
