"I work for the people of Pueblo, not the people of Paris", Rep Boebert tweeted. The climate agreement was so named because it was signed in the French capital - and not because it solely benefits the city's residents.

No matter how stupid she is about the name of the Accord, she's not wrong about it being bad for America.

I'm not a climate denier either, I just feel that America shoulders too much financial burden for others to meet guidlines that affect no real change.... Less than a percent of a percent if I recall correctly.

This whole Accord is one big hand waiving "at least we're doing something" distraction. Lets start making some real changes instead.

If that's the case, give Trump credit where credit is due.

I'm not sure if it was a case of broken clock being correct twice a day or not, but you are right... I did applaud the move at the time regardless of why Trump pulled us out.

What Trump did with us and this treaty, is akin to kneeling when the National Anthem plays.

Maybe you're right Snoofy. But the Paris Accord is a waste of time and money. The money should be better spent, and the climate doesn't have the time.

Her name isn't Boobert? Well that takes the fun out of it.

For a woman who packs a pistol on her hips, the penis envy alone wouldn't survive re-entry.

the people of Pueblo, not the people of Paris

The people of Pueblo didn't elect you. They voted for:
Biden (D)over Trump (R)
Hickenlooper (D)over Gardner (R)
Diane E. Mitsch Bush over YOU in Pueblo, but you pulled in your win from most of the other counties in the Western half of CO. You won Colorado's 3rd Congressional District which Pueblo is a part of. Unfortunately a Democratic Candidate has to win Pueblo by more than Bush did, but you did not win Pueblo.

So no. The people of Pueblo didn't elect you and you aren't speaking for them.

She "works for the people of Pueblo".

I wonder if they know that? Has she actually done any work for the people of Pueblo (I also wonder)?

Or is it just another lie?

The odds tell me it's just another lie.

... "I work for the people of Pueblo, not the people of Paris", Rep Boebert tweeted. ...

Is this the level of discourse we can expect from the Republican Party going forward?

Ted Cruz (why is he still allowed in Congress after fanning the flames of sedition?) said nearly the same exact thing.

Senator Ted Cruz

By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he's more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans.

Apparently Republicans don't have a clue what the Paris Climate Agreement is.

They just really hate Paris.

We are #2 in global greenhouse gas emissions. There are a ton of steps we could take to meet Paris guidelines and that would be good for our own economy.

In addition, we are either in it and leading or we can see it falling apart and nothing getting done.

I have no idea where you are getting 1%.

The Paris Climate Agreement goal is to hold temp increases to 1.5C degrees where they are currently expected to blow past 2 degrees. The actual emission cuts are tied to this temperature goal and therefore can change.

So you are criticizing the agreement when you have ABSOLUTELY no clue what's actually in it.

Most probably don't even know where Paris, France is.

They just hate on whatever Trumpy tells them to hate on.

Apparently Republicans don't have a clue what the Paris Climate Agreement is.

Most of them don't know anything about Pittsburgh either:

Pittsburgh fires back at Trump: we stand with Paris, not you
This article is more than 3 years old

Trump said I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris'--but city's mayor retorts: We stand with the world and will follow the agreement'
www.theguardian.com

Mayor Peduto, Rep. Mike Doyle react to Ted Cruz's 'Biden chooses Paris over Pittsburgh' comments

His reference to Pittsburgh was a nod to similar comments by Trump in 2017 when he pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

In a speech made in 2017, Trump said "I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris."

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto quote tweeted Cruz saying "Are you kidding me? Here we go, again..."

These know-nothing jackasses just pick Pittsburgh because of the alliteration with Paris.

Damn liberals always accusing us'n real Americans of stuff we didn't do. We didn't a-literate in Pittsburgh like the frogs do in Paris. Cletus picked up all our trash and put it in a dumpster, and I watched him do it!

Snoofy compare the climate hit to mine, and transport the materials to make the battery, and build the car VS the climate hit to drive an existing vehicle. I believe the footprint is larger to build and run the electric.

"I believe the footprint is larger to build and run the electric."

It's certainly a trade off. Even if I take your claim as given, one method puts most of it's pollution into the atmosphere, contributing to climate change, the other does not.
