Some doctors have been saying for years, what they'd really like to be able to do is prescribe a nutritious meal to their patient.

When junk food costs 1/20th what a healthy meal costs you end up with a population full of diabetes.

1/20? Bit of hyperbole, fast food meal for 5$, I suppose 100$ could get you a pretty healthy spread. I would agree with 1/3 or 1/4.
If you can get healthy food at any price. Some areas are food deserts.

The term is Hyperbole - exaggeration to make a point.
But you are right. It is at least twice as much bare minimum to eat sort of healthy. I have been shopping for my elderly Uncle for a couple years. I spend 3 to 4 times on myself what he spends. All he buys are "Hungry Man" frozen dinners and junk food.

the nutritionist aspect of this is very needed. Despite access to information online, people are just dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to their eating habits.
processed Sugar is an absolute addiction people refuse to accept. As a result, they can't see how much of it they are consuming, and craving.

I still remember Michelle Obama working to get kids healthy nutritious food in schools and Republicans losing their minds.
Trump only eats McDonald's and drinks Diet Coke.
These people can survive on raw sewage if it means pwning liberals and healthy, nutritious foods.
