Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the Proud Boys extremist group, has a past as an informer for federal and local law enforcement, repeatedly working undercover for investigators after he was arrested in 2012, according to a former prosecutor and a transcript of a 2014 federal court proceeding obtained by Reuters.

Whoops.... that's a death sentence news story right there.

What a shame, right?

Reminds me of the dirtbag portrayed by Jack Nicholson in the movie The Departed. A big-wig criminal operator, while simultaneously working as a major snitch for the FBI.

I have a crystal ball. It says this guy isn't going to show up for his court date. Here's something about him being found in Canada, brought back to the US, imprisoned as a flight risk, and then invited to the yard to play tag with some new friends. After that, it gets dark and hazy...

It's especially hilarious that it's THIS guy, too, because he's the "face" the Proud Boys use so they can pretend they aren't white nationalists.

"The records uncovered by Reuters are startling because they show that a leader of a far-right group now under intense scrutiny by law enforcement was previously an active collaborator with criminal investigators." www.theguardian.com

This goes a long way towards why so many insurrectionists think they have the government on their side.
They've certainly had the government on their side in the past.
And let's be clear: What this guy was doing for the government is called false-flag operatons.

"The transcript from 2014 shines a new light on Tarrio's past connections to law enforcement. During the hearing, the prosecutor and Tarrio's defense attorney asked a judge to reduce the prison sentence of Tarrio and two co-defendants. They had pleaded guilty in a fraud case related to the relabeling and sale of stolen diabetes test kits."

I suspect that this revelation is NOT going to sit well with his comrades-in-arms, now is it...

There also was the FBI report from 2006 released over a decade later that found White Supremacy infiltration of law enforcement: oversight.house.gov

The breitbart moron narrative is that this proves it was a false flag attack by liberals.

"White Supremacy infiltration of law enforcement"

Just to be historically clear: Infiltration is not really the appropriate word.
Law enforcement has been a tool of white supremacy since before the nation was founded.

Comments like this always make conservatives angry. I wonder why that is? Why do they get so emotional about the truth?

Imagine that meeting. Several highly educated FBI agents sitting around a table, and then somebody throws it out there... "I've got this Cuban named Enrique on the hook. How about we use him to infiltrate White Nationalists and become their leader?"

The position of county sheriff was established prior to the Civil War so as to provide a legal authority which could be utilized when there was a need to enforce laws dealing with the capture and return of runaway slaves, in both Southern and several of the Northern states.

He refused to help with the insurrection investigation so the feds decided he was no longer vital.

Cubans are white. And the ones here trend towards fascism; a natural reaction to Fidel.
