Children, siblings and spouses were horrified watching the insurrection -- especially when they spotted people they knew in the crowd.

More from the article...

...Accused rioter Guy Reffitt, an apparent member of a Texas militia group, even threatened his adult children if they "crossed the line and reported" dad to authorities, according a criminal complaint.

Reffitt allegedly said he would "do what he had to do" to his own family members in such an event, prompting the young man to ask: "Are you threatening us?"

"(Reffitt) responded with words to the effect of, 'Don't put words in my mouth,'" FBI Special Agent Thomas Ryan wrote in the criminal complaint against Reffitt. "(The son) understood (Reffitt's) statements to be a threat to (the son's) life."

Little did Reffitt know, as he allegedly made that threat, son Jackson Reffitt had apparently already made that call....

*Sigh*, Texas.

The Texas teen seems to have more sense than his dad.

Those who are standing up to these loud-mouthed coward criminal gangs are to be supported and thanked. The young people doing so demonstrate much more backbone than their elders. That many are 'getting back' at lousy parents and ex-spouses only makes the matter funny. The only conclusion here: intolerant behavior in smaller things leads to intolerant behavior in larger things, and bring on greater consequences.

Teach these insurrectionists a lesson: take away their military or public pensions, terminate their employment, dress them in orange and place them in federal prisons far from their homes. And every day remind them that if they did this in many other countries they would be dead and in mass graves, at the hand of the State...

In my experience, parents/guardians can get away with felonies easily because the kid(s) are terrified they will make their parents go to jail or lose their jobs. It's no wonder that Judges come down hard as hell on parents.

In a lesser sense, employers hold a similar power over their employees, save for sexual harassment lawsuits brought against an employer.

Sorry Mad but your post does not address the subject of the thread. Why do you even post such garbage?

Perhaps you're confusing me with MadBomber. I believe my post directly comments on why more kids don't turn in their parents when those parents are committing felonies. That these kids had the guts to tattle on their violent parents is a testament to their good judgement.

And, ironically, it's your post that doesn't address the subject of the thread, and is indeed, garbage. Beware of psychological projection, Danni, it will be your undoing.

Here's an interesting article on people who cannot distinguish sarcasm:

It's interesting to note that this is due to head injury or frontotemporal dementias concerning the right parahippocampal gyrus.

"It's no wonder that Judges come down hard as hell on parents."

Think about that. You really want judges to come down harder on parents? How is that justice which is supposed to be meted out fairly to all? I'm glad some of the kids, spouses, etc. are coming forward to turn in their insurrectionist family members but the judges need to treat each case fairly regardless if the defendant is a parent or not.

The mastermind of the insurrection is living in FLA. He's 285 lbs. Greasy orange complexion. Bad combover. Armed with a nine iron most days.

Also, Danni... beware of psychic premonitions concerning the outcome of harmless projection.

This is the exact same thing done before and during the Civil War...This is why it was billed as a war brother against brother.

And you liberals are cheering it.

Wow.

The situation we have now is as if the Weimar Republic had somehow voted out Hitler. I'm willing to listen to the sincere concerns of conservatives. But Nazis?

I'm not saying that at all. You're reading too much into what I posted. I said I understand why Judges come down so hard on parents. Because the kids have nowhere else to go or live except being a charge on the state.

If I've triggered something in you from your past, please understand it was unintentional. Like I said before, don't read anything into my post. It wasn't sarcasm. I've noticed in the last decade you have trouble discerning it.

It's all situational,if the people they like are doing it,what's the problem?

If their perceived enemies are doing it, it's a horror beyond comprehension.

They are not acting in good faith. It's just a way to get people to back off when they lose, like now.

Don't fall for it,they are conciously lying and they know it.

Considering that many of traitors are violent, delusional racists and misogynists I'm guessing a lot of those turning them were already at the breaking point.
