Guns don't (by themselves) kill people.
Idiots with guns kill people. And therein
lies the problem. Idiots! You can't avoid
them! They are legion.
So for those big pro-gun nuts out there,
I ask you the simple question. "How do you
separate the nuts from owning guns?"
A: (well the simple answer anyways)
Is you can't...
Probably why countries like Australia enacted
legislation against assault rifles (after the worst mass shooting in their countries history)... and gun violence went Way Down...
Or why countries like Japan (with high suicide rates and an overworked over stressed population) don't allow many guns....and guess what, few to any killings by guns...
It simply boils down to this, the more guns you have, the more gun deaths you have. Couple that with lax gun laws (there are places in this country where guns are taken into church and into bars [brilliant idea, that]), a general lack of education on gun use, storage, training, etc... and you have Modern Day America, a poor excuse for a bad Spaghetti Western, where a slightly controlled teapot is set upon the stove, and almost any altercation can turn the burner on... The burner flicks on, and good people die poorly... And who would blame us if some of us have gotten sick of it?
