I expect he will do some work on determining guilt first.

If they illegally set foot in the Capitol building on that day their punishment can include execution for open insurrection.

My bet is maybe 6 of them might get some jail time. If that.

My bet is that the federal government makes an example of a half dozen of them.

There will be no execution there will be a lifetime in solitary.

Judge Garland's work after The Bombing should make him a friend to all in Oklahoma, including our two Senators. I suspect that his vigorous prosecution of the criminal terrorist slobs who ransacked the US Capitol will result in more than a few elected officials going to jail...

They should be sentenced to death or exportation to a foreign prison for life, preferably one known as a very bad place.

However, the problem is that these people are going to be protected by Liberal courts because Liberals have fought so hard to ensure criminals are protected and get everything they need to ensure they are as comfortable as they can be. It's a shame when something goes so wrong and the people you admonish are the same people you protect, isn't it? I highly doubt very much is going to happen to any of these people. And you have nobody but the Democrats to thank for that.

There are Cult members in the Senate who won't like this statement. By personally overseeing the investigation and prosecution of the 1/6 insurrection, he is going after the GQP's base, and there is an excellent chance that Dear Leader and some GQP house and senate members will get caught up as well. The Acting USA for DC has done a fine job of going after the Trumpers who breached the capitol, and some of those who planned it, but it will take an AG to go after the former POTUS, his enablers and his financial supporters.

Cult45 in the Senate wants to sweep 1/6 under the rug and move on, lol I'm glad future AG Garland has other plans. Maybe Flyin Ted should have stayed in Mexico where the DOJ has a harder time reaching him.

Ahead of his confirmation hearing for Attorney General, Merrick Garland promised to rigorously investigate white supremacists and domestic terrorists, effectively killing his chances of getting any Republican votes.

I'd be ok with them not getting jail time.

Just convict them of a felony and take their guns.

Wow. You one Cruel effer.

Why convict anyone or do anything more?

They already got the QANON Shaman.

The confederate flag guy.

The guy who sat in Nancy Pelosi's chair.

Those aren't enough?

What more could be wanted?

Besides. 1/6 wasn't a big deal.

Most of those people heard there was a sale going on inside and were only in it for the deals.

Look over there! The liberal green power froze Texas!

Tu know these guys won't be able to part with their emotional support guns.
So when they get raided, they can go to prison again, for having illegal guns.

I grew up during the 1950's, just after WWII when so many Americans died to defend America from fascism.
And now, we have to work to cleanse America from our homegrown version of fascism, Trumpism.
Weird times. Racism is the core of the Republican Party and white nationalistic white supremacy is its marching cry.
Maybe it just reveals a weakness in human nature, I don't know. Greed and the need to accumulate power...

No yet, anyways.

But it's up to Biden to declare the Proud Bois, 3IQpointers and Oafkreepers domestic terrorist groups through a Presidential Determination. That would allow the goobers to be purged from the cops and military.
