This is what happens when you put Michael Scott like people in charge of things. There's nothing wrong with being white.

I read the article.

Wow, just friggin' wow.

Can Coca-Cola be any more tone deaf? Don't they listen to what they are saying?

While I do not disagree with what seems to be the goal of that course, the method chosen to reach that goal is, well, abhorrent to my sensibilities.

Orange is less white and see where that got us.

The whole point of inclusion and diversity training is to encourage people of different backgrounds to be more empathetic and respect each other as individuals. I've participated in workshops which do just that. I've also seen garbage like this.

The woman who designed the seminar that appeared in this story is also the same one who created the material that appeared on the Smithsonian's web site shortly before the election. She's an evil, opportunistic POS who apparently has an international cult of followers who are like scientologists.

Here's the thing... I get generational differences. I even get cultural differences. There is a prevalent cultural norm in every country it kind of has to be that way to avoid anarchy. When you watch television and movies in general there is a way of acting and speaking that is found acceptable unless you are watching a targeted piece. It isn't even "white" culture because everyone knows Boston is different from NYC which is different from Atlanta which is different from New Orleans which is different... I prefer to call it main stream professional acceptable. There is a reason for that.

Bottom line? In my book, Coke blew it. Commenters are correct.

Anyone who's been paying attention will know this is nothing new. DiAngelo started this Kafka-trap White Fragility crap a decade ago. The #YesAllWhitePeople hashtag appeared in 2015, apparently started by a racist black woman on YouTube (whose racist rants are still up). It's almost as if these B's were working in concert with Tucker Carlson and the like to help get Trump elected.

Where's the logic in supporting a political candidate because some racist black woman posts racist sh** on the internet?

#7, I've heard that question so many times before, and it always has an angry, sarcastic undertone to it. As if it's hard to understand the cumulative effect of seeing incidents like that over several years (which of course the right wing took advantage of to focus on) and how it turned people off when one candidate refused to even acknowledge it and basically called people deplorables if they agreed with the other candidate calling it out. I can guarantee you many of those people stayed home or voted third party, in addition to those who voted for the little orange manchild.

So, what's the cumulative effect of seeing incidents like that over several years (which of course the right wing took advantage of to focus on) and how it turned people off when one candidate refused to even acknowledge it and basically called people deplorables if they agreed with the other candidate calling it out?

Help us understand. You sure do sound like you want to write an autobiographical book about it.

And it would draw a bigger crowd than his inauguration."

These ultra liberals get tired of the trump --------- getting all the attention, so they figure they will do something really retarded.

The ultra PC whiny morons forgot that Trump isn't President anymore and we the same can now combat their b*******.

#17 | Posted by Tor at 2021-02-23 03:06 PM | Reply

As noted earlier, they've been doing this since long before Trump was elected. A large reason why he got elected was real liberals became too damn complacent about the illiberal actions on the far left.
