Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg could face an unprecedented impeachment hearing in the House of Representatives following criminal charges filed against him last week, the Argus Leader has confirmed. The development comes four days after the Hyde County States Attorney's Office announced it would not pursue felony charges against Ravnsborg alleging criminal culpability in the death of Joe Boever, 55, of Highmore, who was walking along Highway 14 on Sept. 12 when he was struck.

This country doesn't impeach and convict murderers. Haven't you been watching the news?

I have yet to hear a valid reason why Ravnsborg couldn't tell the difference between hitting a deer or a person. The damaged area on the car is right around the passenger headlight, so Ravnsborg should have seen the man.

Would the cops even administer a sobriety test on the AG? By the time they figured out Ravnborg had killed somebody, it was too late.

Drunk or sober, he couldn't have been watching the road.

It would be highly inappropriate to have somebody as attorney general who had killed somebody.

And I learned that all he has to do is resign just after they impeach him but just before they convict him.

New rules.

You can't convict him if he is already a citizen. Remember?
