Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, February 24, 2021

The mainstream media is demonstrating a clear double standard by not calling out the Biden administration for utlizing the same migrant facilities as its predecessor, Fox News contributor Dan Bongino told "Outnumbered" Wednesday. Bongino referenced a diagram posted on social media by Campus Reform Editor-in-Chief Cabot Phillips that illustrates the difference between the media's coverage of the two administrations.

"It said: Is Donald Trump your president?' 'Yes.' And when he is, they refer to his 'concentration camps,' 'cages,' and then with the exact same facilities [they ask]: Is Donald Trump the president?' No.' They're 'temporary facilities.'"

Bongino added that "expecting the media to cover this honestly is just a waste of everybody's time. That's why nobody trusts the media anymore."

JEN PSAKI OFFERING 'WORD SALAD' NON-ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ABOUT MIGRANT CHILDREN, CUOMO SCANDAL: CONCHA

White House press secretary Jen Psaki defended the reopening of the facility for children Tuesay, describing it as a "temporary reopening" due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She added that the administration's "intention is very much to close it, but we want to ensure that we can follow COVID protocols as unaccompanied minors come into the United States."

I can see how "COVID protocols" is an incomprehensible word salad to Deplorables.

Actually. The three weeks of interest given to this story happened back in 2018 and it hasn't been covered since.

Good luck migrants!

This is an interesting examination of how a broken and untrained mind can be bent to see what isn't there.
Reduce everything down to a few blocks, name them the same, and Voila!
Trump=Biden.

Who am I kidding? It's just not that interesting.

It's facile, idiotic, logically fallacious, and serves only to feed a confirmation bias.

This kind of "reasoning" is what I'd expect from a not particularly developed early middle, late elementary student.

Thread sucks.

... The mainstream media ...

You really need to stop blaming mainstream media as the source of all you dislike.

Keep in mind that (until very recently) Fox News was mainstream media as that network had the highest viewership.

OK, that aside, let me ask you, before I delve into anything else you query, how do you, specifically, describe the mainstream media that your comment implicitly seems to denigrate?

Seriously, "mainstream media" seems to be such an important context of of concern your comment. So how do you define it?

In the words of Frasier, "I'm listening..."

Fox News is Lame-Stream Media now.
That's why True Believers went over to Russia Today, and their domestic counterpart, One America News Network, from right here in San Diego.

Really?

Why are you hiding? (serious question)

Only on cable. The big 3 blew them out of the water most of the time.

@#16 Only on cable. The big 3 blew them out of the water most of the time.

Agreed.

The big 3 you refer to are mostly the broadcast networks. Yes they rule in broadcast ratings.

Still, I do not consider Fox (the fourth of the big 3 you mention) to be outside of the so-called MSM, because of their raw influence.

fwiw, and a fun tidbit...

I've heard that back in the late 1980's when Fox was trying to gain a foothold (think Werewolf en.wikipedia.org ), that the ratings people (i.e., Nelsen) would refuse to meet with FOX in meetings that Nielsen had with with the major 3 networks. The Fox network (e.g., Tracy Ullman Show that spawned The Simpsons) was not allowed to meet with the Nielsen crew in Dunedin, FL while the big 3 networks were present. A separate meeting was prescribed.

Funny, how TV ratings work.....

Damn right I would.

What's more fun than nailing a baby to a post?
Ripping it off again.

What's bright blue, pink, and sizzles?
A baby breastfeeding on an electrical outlet.

How do you get 100 dead babies into a box?
With a blender! How do you get them out?
With a bag of chips.
