Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, March 01, 2021

On social media, on cable networks and even in the halls of Congress, supporters of Donald J. Trump tried to rewrite history in real time, pushing the fiction that left-wing agitators were to blame for the violence on Jan. 6.

Antifa was cultivated as a boogeyman for that exact purpose.

It shouldn't surprise anybody that Trump ball lickers immediately started chirping "ANTIFA!" despite the insurrectionists themselves saying exactly whey they were there.

Its easy.

Republicans will believe absolutely anything.

If ANTIFA didn't exist, the Right would invent it.

It's the ultimate 'dog whistle' when it comes to having someone to blame for the actions of your own people.

This is a case of people not believing those who admitted to and documented themselves committing crimes while they were at the insurrection. The worst part is that some of those willing disbelievers have been elected to public office and have influence over the creation of legislation and tax collection rules...

How?

Because the trumptards will believe everything that dear leader lewzer spews.

Whats funny is I live in Portland Oregon and I have never even seen an Antifa... let alone feel under siege as the right would have you believe.

Fear is all they have ever had because the rights policies do not favor the people.

What, exactly, is BS about the fact that the people who were there say it wasn't ANTIFA?

If ANTIFA didn't exist, the Right would invent it.

They pretty much did invent it.

The reality of Antifa isn't close to the perceived reality among Trumpers.

If it fits their desired narrative of things. They didn't want it to be "patriots" they would rather believe it was the boogiemen.

Antifa is to Trump supporters what snowball was to the sheep in Animal Farm.
