Bill Kristol should think back to the theft of the 2000 election and realize he and his kind brought Trumpism to us and take responsibility for it.

I'd love to be bitter about 2000 forever but it's no longer my time.

The best we can do now is make things good as we can for those who are becoming adults every spring when they graduate.

"A Growing Movement: Pro-Democracy Republicans"

A growing movement: Last month there was 1. This month there are 2. By November, 2024 there maybe as many as 30 or so.

Oh yeah, Danni is correct-- Bill Kristol (ECI founder and Israel-firster) and his fellow slimeball neocons helped build TrumpCo into what it is today. They just play both sides like fiddles while Rome continues to burn.

If we didn't go around meddling in other countries affairs for Israel's sake and looked closer at our own problems over the past 20 years it is very likely the Capitol siege would have never happened.

I feel like "pro-democracy Republicans" is an oxymoron.

If they were pro democracy, they would have voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Instead of voting third party.

Anyone who understands that we are a Republic and not a Democracy will not be a Democrat.

Anyone who believes the Country should be a mob democracy, will not be a Republican. Sometimes there are hard stops and this is one of them.

Boaz, help me understand:
I want to be as smart as you.
If we're not a democracy, why do we have elections?

I'm not going through this with you, there's no payoff. It wont make you smarter as you will refuse to open your mind to the correct meaning of our form of government.

I'll let you waller in your stupidness.

You wouldn't know what our correct form of government was even if it snuck up on you and bit you on your hiney.

Republic Vs. Democracy: What's the Difference?

You've probably already noticed that republics and democracies have a lot in common, namely that they both are systems where the power to govern rests with the people.

The major difference between a democracy and a republic is that a republic is a form of government whereas a democracy is an ideology that helps shape how a government is run. Put another way: a republic is the system of government that allows a country to be democratic! So while people tend to use the terms "democracy" and "republic" interchangeably, they aren't exactly the same thing.

Russia [and North Korea are] republics but [they are] not democratic.

And, anyone who believes that the people should choose who runs the government through a fair election will not be a Republican. Republicans apparently believe that the leaders of the government should be chosen by a violent minority who have a "right" to storm the capital and threaten the lives of our elected representatives to try to overrule the choice laid out by the majority of voters in this country.

You can argue semantics of words all you want. But the ACTIONS indicate that liberals support a democratic republic, as our founders intended, and conservatives support a fascist dictatorship, which is what our founders were most afraid of. You do not hold the ideals on which our country was founded and based. Please go to another country (like Russia) that is more consistent with your ideals and leave this country to those who support the democratic ideals on which it was founded.

Boaz, go read some books on Civics and the structure of the U.S. Government. Then, also go read about the structure of your local governments. Please.

Boaz,
You're a coward.
Maybe you exhibit bravery under fire, but you are a pathetic coward whenever you don't have Uncle Sam telling you what to do with your life.

It's not as if the trillions sunk into the two decades old wars would have been spent here at home.

What you call MOB DEMOCRACY is simply called DEMOCRACY, you're just in a minority that would suffer if they weren't given undemocratic amounts of power.

Right now we have MINORITY MOB TYRANNY. That's worse.

A wise decision. The payoff in a debate is supposed to be something approaching truth. And a second egotistical tangential condition of honing your skill, and to be better able to defend your position in the future.

Snoofy use the Socratic method of interrogation. It is a difficult tactic to go up against because everyone at some point will reach the end of their knowledge on a subject. And realize, in essence, they don't know what the hell they're talking about and are simply using their gut and prejudices to defend their position. Not their mind.

Boaz, this statement is probably the wisest statement you've ever made. Except for the payoff bit. But it's still good. IMHO MS

What a sad commentary that some in the GOP feel they have to declare themselves 'pro-democracy.'
