"Based on their interviews, I felt it was time to speak up about Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, two self-promoters trying to reinvent history to cover for their bad instincts and faulty recommendations, which I fortunately almost always overturned," Trump said. "They had bad policy decisions that would have left our country open to China and others, closed to reopening our economy, and years away from an approved vaccine " putting millions of lives at risk."

Trump's statement amounted to a point-by-point rebuttal of comments from Fauci and Birx in a CNN documentary that aired Sunday, which featured former Trump health officials, some of whom were critical of the former president."

This from the guy that turned 100K deaths into over half a million... so far.

He musta thought he was getting a commission on each one.

Trump routinely accuses others of the very things he's guilty of.

I know that's common knowledge, but he's really firing on all cylinders here.

A: Trump Lashes Out at Fauci and Birx After CNN Documentary.

Q: What does a disgraced, twice-impeached, riot-inciting former prez do between gigs playing drunken toastmaster at Palm Beach weddings?

Of course he did and of course he, yet again, projected massively.

two self-promoters trying to reinvent history to cover for their bad instincts and faulty recommendations describes Trump's entire life.

I agree w Mr. Rupar (the posting for response)...

Trump is a historical (mostly hysterical) footnote, that does
not deserve anymore air time in America. A rotten and utterly
corrupt POTUS, an anomaly in the long, and, mostly proud
history of this nation, who is not considered even a legitimate
POTUS by the other living Presidents, let alone slightly more
than half the nation (got in originally on Russian coat tails
and shenanigan's). He will soon likely have a prison sentence
or three, depending upon how many charges land and stick on the
now (private citizen Trump), and will forevermore be linked to
infamy and to the potential overthrow of our legitimately [elected]
government. He should be ostracized and treated as the pariah that he is...

The sooner the majority of this country ignore him, the sooner he
and his mislead followers will cease to be a factor in this country.

In a word, yes.

Fmr Pres Trump still has the support of a significant percentage of Republicans.

On the state and local level, there are many Trump-facing politicians in office,

That picture pretty much sums it up. The scary part is that about 40% of the country agrees with the orange turd.

If the left ignores him, his crimes will go unpunished and he'll run again, and repubs will thwart democracy enough to let him "win".

The left has to do the opposite of ignoring him - prosecuting him and holding him fully accountable for everything he's ever done.

What do you think republicans will be doing for the next 4 years? Rigging elections so that his return is guaranteed.

If dems don't prosecute him and disqualify him he can easily win again, and then he'll never leave.

Ooo he's LOOKING INTO THEM? Well look out trump.

Just like they LOOKED INTO his collusion with russia, blackmailing ukraine, and spawning a fascist insurrection?

And what consequences did he face from those?

Or maybe how they REFUSED to look into all his crimes during his previous impeachments so no one will never know everything he did. Do you think we should know what trump did to get into office and while in office, or do you think dems should just stop talking about him because you're tired of it?

When you have your opponent on the defensive you press, hard, until they are destroyed.

After 1/6 moderate republicans were fleeing -------, even a few were condemning him, even a few voted for impeachment.

Donors were fleeing republicans.

Fast forward 2 months later and the furor is dying down, even the arrests are becoming back page news. ZERO republican congress critters are held responsible, ------- is coming out of the darkness, whackadoodles are being normalized.

The dems missed a GOLDEN opportunity.

But, hey, lay your faith in the SDNY, HA!!

Come 2022 with a red wave in the HoR, you will be crying tears.

JFC!!! THEN WHY BOTHER IMPEACHING HIM!!!!!!!!! IF IT WAS GOING TO BE A LOSS, WHY BOTHER!!?!!!

Jesus, ------- democrats.

The goal SHOULD have been to a. point out the mortal threat posed by republicans and b. gutting them in public opinion.

Get republicans on the record, under oath, defending the lies and conspiracies they were spewing. Either they go on record as liars or as whackadoodles WIN-WIN.

Instead, dems appeared weak during impeachment, won a news cycle for pandemic relief and on we go.

Chris dems suck

If nancy pelosi got it, she would have exposed all of trumps crimes in his second (or even first) impeachment instead of opting for the quicker option for supposed political advantage that never materializes.
