The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the alarm on Europe's "unacceptably slow" rollout of COVID-19 vaccines as it warned of a "worrying" surge in coronavirus infections.

Europe has screwed the pooch on Covid mitigation and vaccination. They needed a Biden.
My wife is pissed because she wants to visit her family this summer. I am trying to keep a straight face.

Not sure what you're talking about.

The AZ vaccine has caused blood clots.

You can't do this thing without being safe.

Oh, and your poor wife? Who gives an actual ----.

If preventing the next COVID case means she never sees her family again...it's a worthy sacrifice.

Fact check: No definitive link between AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine and blood clot incidents

Vaccines don't cause blood clots

It's important to note vaccines have not been shown to cause blood clots, according to Dr. Daniel Salmon of Johns Hopkins' Institute for Vaccine Safety to the New York Times in March.

"There are a lot of causes of blood clotting, a lot of predisposing factors, and a lot of people who are at increased risk " and these are often also the people who are being vaccinated right now," said Dr. Mark Slifka, a vaccine researcher at Oregon Health and Science University, also to the Times.

COVID-19 can instigate blood clots, and there's some thought undetected infection before vaccination could be an underlying factor, at least for the more severe cases of blood clotting. www.usatoday.com

Looks like Europe is following our dementia patient cosplaying as president and his "Operation Brainfart" rather than Trump's "Operation Warpspeed". Someone needs to tell the Germans that smugness is not effective against COVID.

#7 | Posted by Family_values at 2021-04-01 08:37 PM | Reply

Operation Warpspeed accomplished nothing. Biden is leading the fastest vaccination of a large country on Earth.
Trump, America's first cosplay POTUS (makeup, $70,000 hair doo, corset, high heels, lady watch, Putin's B plug), was all promise but no delivery. Melania and Stormy could have told you that.

Whether it does or doesn't is immaterial. The German government is concerned it might, and has suspended it's use on people under 60. So even those who are still getting it aren't likely the ones who would be spreaders in the first place.

My prediction?

This summer, the US and UK will yet again step in and save Europe from it's politicians. In the US, there is a time in the very near future where you won't be able to swing a dead cat without hitting a vial of COVID vaccine.

The rollout has certainly picked up speed I registered on March 18th was called on the 24th and got my first dose on the 26th. A far cry from folks I was talking to in Early Feb who had been on the waiting list since you could first register. I know for a fact that at least 25% of my work place has gotten at least one dose already and for the most part our first eligible day was 3/17.

The rollout has certainly picked up speed I registered on March 18th was called on the 24th and got my first dose on the 26th.

I received an unsolicited text message from my health services provider on the same day vaccine registration opened up for my age group (60) with a link attached to the website itself. I immediately went to the link, answered a couple questions verifying my eligibility and was then offered vaccination appointments as soon as the NEXT DAY. The locations were sorted by distance from my address and in most cases listed which type of vaccine was being used at most locations.

I scheduled my first shot for a couple days later and got my second shot two weeks ago this morning. I couldn't have been happier with the way distribution happened in my regard and as of yesterday all adults over 16 are eligible for shots in Indiana.

Yeah. No one has called me to get the shots yet.

I think they're still pursuing the possibility that I might die before then.

It will be fun to disappoint them.

The part where we are way down still in the number of jobs pre-covid. Rebounding from a base of zero because of the economic shutdown is near meaningless. The massive inflation is also a bit concerning which will weigh on manufacturing as well so I don't see a long term good trend under China Joe.

And if they ever surpass the levels that Trump had pre-COVID, I will applaud Biden. I just doubt the hair sniffing halfwit cosplaying as president will ever be able to achieve that. I truly hope he can, we are going to need a ton of unskilled jobs after the teachers unions and democrats ensured our public schools are completely unable to educate students.

The AZ vaccine has caused blood clots.

This was already investigated and found to not be a result of the vaccine in most cases.

Most countries that paused are back to vaccinating.

Winning is as I defined - manufacturing jobs above Trump levels. Given we will import about 2m unskilled illegals this year, we better actually grow the manufacturing base as we only need so many people cleaning hotel rooms, mowing lawns, and washing dishes. Wages are going to be permanently suppressed until we can grow manufacturing at a rate faster than our increase in unskilled labor. With Biden's H1B move, forget wage growth at the mid-high educated levels as well. I am honestly scared what will happen to this country in 20 years when the 'driver' job category is automated away and our manufacturing base gutted at the same time our public schools continue to fail and 'higher education' industry has been exposed as a money losing proposition.

First, I am not a boomer. I am a generation X. I was not born into a wealthy family and I had to work hard for everything I had as nothing was handed to me. The only advantage I had in life is that I was raised in a 2 parent household. Other than that, the results I have achieved I have done so through my own hard work. From your postings, I am going to assume you were born into the back end of the Gen X as I can sense the completely unearned high opinion of yourself. You have failed in life and you want to blame everyone else. This is where your warped sense of self comes in - you honestly believe you are the smartest man in the room so any failing you have must be due to 'the man' holding you back. The reality is that you failed because someone else did better and you did not receive a handout - I hear you loud and clear. Also, sounds like you are a failed STEM grad, which is actually hard to achieve but this was likely due to smarter, harder working immigrants here in the US getting the promotions leaving you to clean the glassware. Believe me, I understand that you are angry - it is just your solutions are laughable and never contain any introspection as to the bad decisions you have made in your life. I recommend you start your introspection by assessing your assumed intelligence, it will not be a happy revelation for you.

Biden has less than two years to push the left-wing agenda.

During the election, Republicans criticized Biden as being the front for a far-left agenda. Biden responded by saying that this wasn't the case. But, he's gone full left. And come 2022, that's going to matter. And I have little doubt that, barring some sort of monumental change, the Republicans are going to crush it.

Their greatest competition is themselves. If they drag the tweeting sweet potato back in to the race, it's going to hurt them. I still think they'll crush it, but the R's need to ditch Trump. The rust belt is an easy win, even the Dems. The challenge will be the independents.

Not even close. Where he's "gone" is right to the heart of America. Just not where "Republicans" are. The 25% that self-identify as Republicans these days, that is.

Honestly, who cares about them? We should only care because they're still around, and we need to ensure a systematic movement and organized sweep reduces them all in power until they fairly represent the percentage of the U.S. population that holds their "view." To do that we need to s few things, like destroying gerrymandering so neither party has an advantage and ensure uniform minimum voting standards across America.

"The 25% that self-identify as Republicans these days, that is."

I don't identify as Republican, and I voted for Biden.

But you can't promote the Green New Deal while at the same time appealing to the traditionally Democratic voters in the Rust Belt. So far, Biden has chosen to side with the urban progressives. That could change, but right now, Dems in those states have their work cut out for them. And the messaging that appeals to "democratic socialists"? is very different than the messaging that appeals to a miner ore factory worker.

Literally none of that is correct.

BUt, as is usual with righties, it's loaded with projection. Let's see...

the completely unearned high opinion of yourself

You have failed in life and you want to blame everyone else

Check.

you honestly believe you are the smartest man in the room

Check.

You get your ass kicked around here so often I have to assume you enjoy it. BTW if you find yourself bragging about how you "earned it all through hard work" you're probably a run of the mill, normal, uninteresting person. Otherwise you wouldn't find something so run of the mill, normal and uninteresting so worthy of pride.
