Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The DeKalb County School Board is paying $750,000 to a nationally known educator who was rejected as school superintendent. A year ago, the board named Dr. Rudy Crew the only finalist to become the new superintendent. Two weeks later he was rejected in a 4-3 vote. Channel 2 investigative reporter Richard Belcher has learned that the turnabout is now costing DeKalb taxpayers a lot of money.

The reporting of this article is so bad, I have many questions. It stinks to high heaven.

Was there an offer made? Just because he was the best of who was interviewed and a "finalist" doesnt mean he was approved by the board. So what are they paying for?

Crew filed a complaint with the EEOC alleging that the board illegally considered his age of 69 when rejecting him, and he charged he was the victim of racial discrimination. "One board member in particular apparently took offense about Dr. Crew's race and the fact that he had been married to a white woman," Wolfe said.

I swear I want to see his evidence of these charges and not just innuendo's. And this is in an almost all black district.

Finally, teachers are getting paid on par with police! Now that's real progress.

I haven't been around here much for the past 8-9 years or so, but it didn't take me that all that long to be able to spot a Boaz thread purely by the headline alone.

#4,

And I can spot a liberal like you, failing to address the article and attack the poster.

What user are you a sock puppet for?

"One board member in particular apparently took offense about Dr. Crew's race and the fact that he had been married to a white woman"

Even if this isn't true, everybody knows people like this exist -- both black and white.

I'm the original poster that signed up well over a decade ago. It's right about here where I invite you to perform a impossible sex act on yourself, Bozo. It's not my fault your relentless mewling proceeds you.

Address the article?

You mean the one you disparage as "so bad" and "stinks to high heaven"

Only a fool would demand a retort on something they themselves describe as inadequate

You are ------- dumb, boaz
Even your trolling is stupid

Don't you think the fact that they settled for $750K says a lot about the veracity of the claims?

Here's the deal with BOAZ:

- He doesn't follow Christian or Masonic tenets.

- BOAZ is your textbook 'egomaniac with an inferiority complex,' so the pursuit of money and 'things' is his actual god. Above all else.

- Even though he was earning an $80,000+ salary as a US Army Major, he ran up debt trying to fill the void of personal inadequacy void with material things. He earned enough to pay for whatever, but chose to live beyond his means. Gotta get more 'stuff' to keep up with the Joneses and feel like he measures up. New house, new cars, new xxxxxxx. But it'll never be enough because happiness is 'from the skin in,' and he looks down on other people and really doesn't want to help anyone but himself.

- Even though BOAZ benefited from opportunities his own parents didn't have when they were his age, he feels like he did it all himself. This despite taxpayers paying for the college education that enabled him to rise from an enlisted man to officer, and 'liberals' he decries having previously opened the doors of opportunity for him.

- Now, as he rakes in a hefty pension after only 20 years, he continues to support politicians who don't want others to have pensions.

I could go on, but he's your typical 'egomaniac with an inferiority complex.'

I'd feel sorry for him, but he's such a self-centered jerk that's it's impossible to do so.

C'mon man, get real. Boaz is ok, he's just combat fatigued. I actually can see his point about some things. He's not that bad. He at least stands up and makes an argument. He doesn't just troll and hide. Like so many here do. His arguments tend to be internally consistent even if you don't agree with them.

Many here are not so clear and honest.

These two things are in no way connected.

Boaz spend the entirety of the Obama administration hoping for a civil war so he could frag some libs.

Combat Fatigue might be closer to the mark. Unprocessed trauma from killing those little girls in Afghanistan has boxed him into a corner.

You guys other than effete, are idiots. AU, I wouldn't expect you to understand hard work. I have no credit card debt, I have two jobs for anything I want. See I believe in capitalism and I've made it work for me, like a true American should. Your assessment of me is dripping with jealousy as usual with liberals. I understand, your not meeting potential lifestyle hasn't fulfilled you. You don't like to work, so you are looking for resources from people who work like me...that's a liberal like you.

Poor little boy...stolen valor maybe?

Keep telling yourself you mean something in the real world.

Even if what you are claiming is true, you wasted your time and other peoples lives.

Poor little POS with a little bitty peepee.

You've contributed exactly nothing to anyone.

Then it definitely wasn't Capitalism.

I want to be clear about one thing:

I respect your service.

People with military experience show up on time and do the work that is expected of them. If those two things can't get the job done, it's not their fault.

Another thing:

As you surely have noticed in your transition to civilian life, and likewise witnessed in the military, not everybody can show up on time and get their work done.

Choosing to believe that these people don't need help isn't going to them succeed.

Would you keep these people in your command?

Would you keep these people in your country?

I'm hardly jealous of you. I pity you.

I've worked hard my entire life. In college, I worked 3 jobs and never never took a loan. I have no debt, royalties coming in, a nice stock portfolio I've been building since my 20's, money in the bank, a paid-for mid six figure home, a rental house, and a working farm 200 miles west of here.

No one gave me s***.

Gosh. EVERYONE knows a commander with the rank of Major rides in front on a horse, sabre drawn, leading the charge! (/sarcasm)

Hardly. They tuck themselves in a nice secure place and radio back and forth with the personnel doing the actual fighting. If anything, he asked for a 'combat command' to increase his pension.

And he didn't sign up during war times out of patriotism. It was peacetime. The Army was a last resort for a guy a couple years out of high school whose other options weren't working out for him.

So what. Doesn't change the fact that everything you are and have is because you sucked the government teat for a significant portion of your adult life.

Yeah yeah you signed a contract. So what. You still hitched your wagon to a train you claim is only a burden and want to act as if the outcomes are all due to you and only you.

Meanwhile, you attempt to act superior to the rest of us who are probably on the same or better socioeconomic plane as you are but didn't require millions upon millions of tax payer dollars to get there.

Boaz, you benefitted from Communism, not Capitalism. With your great intelligence and discernment, why can't you realize that? The military is an almost purely Communistic organization.

The only difference is, they let you keep your religious beliefs, and even support them with Chaplains and Chapels on every base. It's even on our dog tags. Bolshevism forbade religion and religious symbology... that was one of the factors in Russian Communism's Stalinist/Leninist demise.

It's human nature to want to study and find out why things are banned. The Romans made the same mistake with the Jews by putting statues of Zeus in the Jewish temples. The US, based partly on Roman jurisprudence wisely amended the Constitution to allow religious freedom of any stripe so as to keep masochistic religious zealotry to a minimum.

On Topic: find and take a look at your local independent school district's appropriation spreadsheet. Much of the high-dollar salaries are the Superintendent, Principals, Football programs, and coaches.

Evidence: The Board literally agreed to pay him $750,000 a year since he filed the EEOC complaint.

You think the Board would do that without a fight if they didn't violate the law?

#28 | Posted by Sycophant at 2021-04-06 11:58 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Thanks Sycophant, thanks for not being a troll, thanks for keeping to the topic, more information is better. As I said before, the reporting was horrible.

Wolfe's most basic claim is that the district couldn't reject the veteran educator without some kind of settlement because Dr. Crew had already signed the 3-year agreement worth about $1.5 million dollars before the 4-3 vote not to hire him.

This is his whole basis for suing and if true, he does deserve to sue and get the $750K.

The woman who made the racial comments, why does she still have a job? Anyone else, especially if they were white, would have been fired for saying so..

"The woman who made the racial comments, why does she still have a job?"

Because she won an election.

The President who made racial comments got to keep his job too.

The thing is ...

You sure don't sound very happy with the angry hateful world you have helped to create and trying desperately to hold to.

That philosophy didn't worked out for Trumpy and so many of his followers. Some of who may actually end up in federal prison for 20 years for acting on that philosophy.

Too bad you seemed to have learned nothing.
