Jeff Bezos Supports Corporate Tax Hike for Infrastructure

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos endorsed President Joe Biden's focus on building up the country's infrastructure Tuesday and said the company even supports a corporate tax rate hike to help pay for it. Bezos was careful not to endorse a specific plan. Rather, he said "we support the Biden Administration's focus on making bold investments in American infrastructure."

Of course Jeff wants tax dollars invested in US infrastructure, Amazon uses that infrastructure to make money.

Of course he supports raising corporate tax rates because if they doubled, Amazon would still pay nothing.

Biden should add a alternate minimum tax for corporations. It is way to easy to spend all your revenue building a business and pay nothing in tax, while benefiting enormously from public services.

Bezos, Zuckerberg, the ------- at twitter, Tim Cook, and a few others....are all effectively the government now. Of course they want to eliminate competition. They see themselves as the new Czars of their respective industries and the garbage that is our elected leaders are going to do exactly what they are directed to do to promote such and keep their fifedoms to themselves.

But then so so the rest of us. And, how many employees does Bezos employ? How many jobs are created by the purchase of 100,000 electric vehicles? Bezos is not a saint but he is a good businessman. He realizes the same truths that Eisenhower did. Investments in infrastructure benefit all of us, we drive over the same bridges that Amazon delivery trucks drive over. To oppose Biden on infrastructure repair is idiotic. We need it, we have bridges that are on the verge of collapse. I can literally drive down I-95 and see holes in the road. It is time we fixed some of this mess and quit playing politics with it. Oh and it is time for Mitch McConnell to be out of our politics, he is the enemy of the American people. Everyone that suffers a loss due to bad roads, bridges, etc. should look directly at Moscow Mitch with scorn. He happily sacrifices your safety for political gain.

I don't know anyone who opposes investment in infrastructure. But to call the latest Bill an infrastructure Bill is ludicrous. Elderly babysitters are not infrastructure. Roads are. And for the record, McConnell is not owned by Moscow. He's owned by the same people that own Pelosi, Biden and Feinstein, Hollywood and the NBA...the Chinese.

#5 I agree the US needs massive infrastructure investment and Biden's plan is a good one. My point is that Jeff isn't supporting infrastructure without self interest, and since Amazon can avoid taxes under the current system, he is asking others to build his business infrastructure.

Amazon along with the rest of us will benefit, so all should contribute.

I was in China two years ago and I was expecting a somewhat poor country. I was blown away by the quality of the infrastructure. The US is in decline and it's rundown airports, subways, trains are embarrassing.

Spend the wall money on something useful.
