There's a deposition of Wayne LaPierre that is being reported on everywhere, and for good reason. In it LaPierre is asked about his luxurious lifestyle and why he spent so much free time on Hollywood producer David McKenzie's 80-foot yacht. A yacht named "Illusions."

Shocking that the good guy with a gun mantra, basically the only reason the NRA gives for selling gun ownership, turns out to be complete BS and pure hypocrisy. As somebody who is trained in this sort of thing, that mantra has always disregarded the most important aspect of any violent confrontation, action ALWAYS beats reaction. If a bad guy means to do you harm, no matter how well armed and trained you are, unless you can see into the future they WILL ALWAYS have the drop on you. I point to Officer Eric Tally of the Boulder PD. He knew he was responding to a shots fired call, was well armed armed, and I'm sure as covert as possible with his approach, yet he was till sniped by a guy whose training likely consisted of playing call of duty, and who owned his rifle for about a week before the murder. That's how goat herders in Iraq were able to best the most highly trained militaries in the world, action vs reaction.

Just like all those preachers demanding guns in church because apparently, on Sunday, God is too busy picking sports winners to protect them

These guys are like kids making up non-related excuses for being caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

#7 God is all powerful, he can do anything but make money. That's why he needs yours.
