Kieran Bhattacharya is a student at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine. On October 25, 2018, he attended a panel discussion on the subject of microaggressions. Dissatisfied with the definition of a microaggression offered by the presenter"Beverly Cowell Adams, an assistant dean"Bhattacharya raised his hand.

Within a few weeks, as a result of the fallout from Bhattacharya's question about microagressions, the administration had branded him a threat to the university and banned him from campus. He is now suing UVA for violating his First Amendment rights, and a judge recently ruled that his suit should proceed.

Land *in* a psych ward. They made him take a psych eval for not being insane. The woke act just like king-pin cops - there is no real limit to the abuses of power they are capable of if they have it.

One of the aspects of being an adult is to be aware of innocently phrased questions that are really meant to trap you.

As an example at one corporation I worked at, the HR department ordered all lab personnel to have a sit-down with them one-on-one to see what the hell the problem was among all teh lab techs. I knew this was a trap, so I avoided it. My mother had to have a stent put into one of her cardiac arteries, so I took the rest of the day off to go to the hospital to be with her, When I came back to work I dropped into HR and gave my testimony as to what the problems were. They mainly stemmed from the new lab manager, who had no scientific training whatsoever hiring old friends in offices of supervision, that, they themselves had no training in science. I told HR this was the problem.

the next day I was met by the lab manager at the front door and frog marched into HR. I'd just been fired. No reason was given except they considered me a bad fit. I'd worked there three years with no problems.

So, the moral of the story is; Even if you're being asked nicely to pass on your views, don't. Most people have no sense of dignity and will yse whatever comes out of your mouth as a reason to bonk you over the head.

Great story except we are really only getting one side. The University can't really defend itself due to privacy concerns...until they get sued.

So lets see how this plays out.

The story states there is an audio recording of the original exchange. This student will win if it goes to court, so long as the recording backs his version of events. The story indicates that it does.
