Harry Enten: A new Reuters/Ipsos poll finds that 55% of Republicans falsely believe Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election was the result of illegal voting or rigging. Additionally, 60% of Republicans incorrectly agree that the election was stolen from Republican Donald Trump.

It is a sad day for this country when such a large portion of United States citizens and politicians of all ages can not differentiate fact from fiction, keep themselves from becoming duped by an obvious con-artist or sink and become lost under the muck of conspiracy theories.

Instead of both sidesing the 1/6 insurrection, suggesting the domestic terrorists who attacked the capitol have for some unknown reason lost faith in our election system, and requiring a bipartisan solution to their stupidity and Dotard's lies, maybe Joe Manchin should introduce a bill to stop that from ever happening again. Perhaps a truth in advertising bill making it unlawful for a company that claims I provides "news" to spread proven lies and conspiracy theories. There is no bipartisan solution needed for SB1; according to polling, it has plenty of bipartisan voter support. The GQP are resistant because it is to their benefit to perpetuate the big lie, it keeps the money flowing, the MAGAts frothing at the mouth and it hides the fact that they have ZERO policy ideas.

It's not a lie if you scream it repeatedly with your fingers firmly implanted in your ears.

Voting rights.

If Republicans were confident they'd win election after election they wouldn't make attempt after attempt to limit voting ... but only for the people they don't think will vote for them.

For 30 years, they've been doing everything they can to limit voting, but they continue to receive millions upon millions less votes during national elections than Democrats do because America just isn't that into Republicans, who have no ideas anymore but being naysayers, traitors, and raping the U.S. Treasury for their wealthy constituency.

So, what is HR1 based on???

Generally, uniformity in the "times, places and manner" of holding national elections.

The mistake here is that you think the politicians do not know it is a lie. They do. They don't care. They will do or say whatever it takes to further their agenda.

Every single politician (Except maybe Boobert and MGT...they dumb) know that they were lies. But they also know their policies are not attractive to a growing number of the voting public. These laws are not a long term solution to their problem, but they are designed to win elections for the near future which is all they care about.

68% of Black voters in Georgia support the law - you need ID to vote.
