South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) said Friday she's suing the Biden administration for denying the state permits to hold an Independence Day fireworks display at Mount Rushmore.

Noem is another Republican idiot who thinks she can be Trump.

She has no right to demand such a thing on federal land.

The 2024 RNC convention is going to look like the White Walkers at Hardhome.

So I guess Noem isn't on board with adding Biden to Rushmore?

Doesn't that bitch have the #2 Covid19 problem in the US to be working on? Besides not mandating masks, she's got an anti LGBQT agenda to work on.

What a dope.

"Mount Rushmore is the very best place to celebrate America's birthday and all that makes our country special," Noem said.

Yeah right babyface. Right in the middle of one of the largest, poorest and angry Native reservation in the country. Why not throw in reviving Keystone? Maybe that's piss the Sioux Natives off to the point where they take over the executive mansion and set things right....

South Dakota, population 884,659.

If there are less than a million people living in a state.

The state status should be revoked and it should turn into a territory.

If your shhthole state is a burden to the rest of America. You shouldn't have state senators in the federal government.

Throw this shhthole state out of the Union.

Clownshack-give it back to the Sioux & let them decide.

I like that idea a lot.

That was the Unabomber's idea, more or less.

I think it has some merits -- I always think returning stolen property has merit -- but is seems entirely unworkable.

This nonsense will continue for the next few years as Trumps bootlickers try to curry favor with the orange oaf, in an effort to have him visit their state or congressional district to help them get re-elected, and then pick them as VP in 2024. Like Gov. No-ma'am's suit, all the others will go nowhere. Voters will see right through the nonsense and some will be laughed out of office.

As for Der Dotard running in 2024, it's tough to do campaign appearances when one is in federal custody...

The US has a hard time giving land back we...acquired...with the blood of soldiers. Even if it was taken by General Alfred Sully at the behest of the Abraham Lincoln.

SoDak Gov should repel off rock face with portable Dremel and carve the following image:

I would pay good money to see those atrocities blasted off that mountain.

And even more to watch BOAZ, GRACIEAMAZED, SENTINEL, PHESTEROBOYLE, and the rest of the QTards weep for the loss of their precious graven images.

Why would you want to cancel that?

#14 It depends on the ecosystem involved. In the southern coastal plain frequent fires are a great benefit to the ecosystem's floral diversity and some animals also benefit. In mature hardwoods, fire is not a great thing.

I don't know much about the landscape in that part of SD,fire may not be so bad there, depending on the grassland and pineland mix.

Some ecosystem's need frequent fires to persist.

"Some ecosystem's need frequent fires to persist."

You left out the word "controlled."

CONTROLLED fires you dummy.

#14 | POSTED BY TOR AT 2021-05-01 03:32 PM | FLAG:

As Twinpac noted, regular, controlled burns of undergrowth are important. It's a tried and tested conservation technique that prevents much greater forest fires.

Of course there's always "rakes" as Trump (with a straight face) pointed out that they use in Europe. ~ LOL

#26 | Posted by Twinpac at 2021-05-02 10:30 AM | Reply

Fire is fire. Controlled fire is better for humanity and massive, visible from space, wildfires are not beneficial, except by reducing the fuel load, but they are inevitable in pinelands and open grasslands if the fuel loads get big enough. A small fire once every two years prevents catastrophic fires every ten or fifteen years and keeps the forests and grasslands open and productive for small plants and animals.

#27 | Posted by Effeteposer at 2021-05-02 11:14 AM | Reply

Just send them some rakes and paper towels.

They will be fine.

#28 | Posted by donnerboy at 2021-05-02 11:58 AM | Reply

CONTROLLED fires you dummy.

Controlled only because we humans want to limit its spread and size because we have things in it we don't want to burn.

Nature doesn't care. Cleansing and rebirth by fire was the norm for thousands of years in many eco systems.

That's true

Rumor is that's how the Neanderthals discovered "cooked" food.
