Two developing countries, enormous in population and geography, in the grip of devastating coronavirus outbreaks. Hospitals running out of supplies. Patients turned away. A new variant everywhere. Outside help desperately needed. For India, upended by record infection rates, the world has responded.

Bolsonaro and his posse that cannot shoot straight are reportedly seeking help from the 45th President of The United States, having been fooled into believing he is still in power. Re 6.

What does that word salad even mean?

All countries and great cities end up in the past. They always have. So what? Temporal nonsense. We are here now.

And Brazil is not our future. Unless you want it to be. And I highly doubt that. If you do then you are not American. Have you looked at America from space at night? It's very beautiful. And mostly empty. We could become destined to be in trouble. Seems we always are. But we are not Brazil. We have made some bad mistakes. But the lights are burning bright in America. We are rocking it. And we are still here.

And if we can keep idiots like Trumpy and the Deplorables away from the helm we can go on for a long time still. It's up to us. If we can learn fast enough before we destroy ourselves. Or a violent universe does it while we are busy arguing about it.

Scary isn't it? Welcome to Life. Or something like it.

"What does that word salad even mean?"

It's a very famous quote, which you could have easily looked up if you weren't so lazy. It's also not hard to infer the intended irony of the quote, unless you're always looking for a reason to be pissy. As a developing country, Brazil was considered to be emerging as a regional power (if not potential superpower) due to its size and resources. It hasn't become the "country of the future" that people thought it would when they called it that a long time ago, and the "it always will be" part implies it probably never will, given its track record.
