Rick Kriseman, the mayor of St. Petersburg, tweeted,

"To be clear, cities like St. Pete, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Miami Beach, saved Florida and the governor's behind throughout this pandemic. Can you imagine if each city had been led by Ron DeSantis? How many lives would have been lost? What would our economy look like today?"

Considering his wildly incompetent and dishonest behaviors, actions, and inactions with respect to COVID, DeSantis is going to get immolated politically down the road if he faces voters again.

You may now kiss the Governor.

Perhaps the Governor DeSantis still has high hopes that Trump or one of his mini-me clones will unseat President Biden in 2024 and he along with others just like him will be rewarded with a cushy high paying appointment when the Republicans come roaring back.

To them it's a gamble just for the small price of a whole lot of ring kissing.

Every death here in Florida from COVID19 is now Ron DeSantis's fault. Him and Trump own this pandemic. Both of those scum bags have encouraged Floridians and all Americans to ignore the pandemic, ignore science and ignore the CDC.

Did you actually READ that article? It makes Desantis seem like a clown in comparison to Cuomo in his approach. Cuomo if opening up capacity on some things and Desantis is taking away business and local government rights. Yet another example of Republicans being pro-captialism until businesses do something they don't like.

What I took from it was how wacky liberal DeSantis is being and how boringly Conservative Coumo is with it.

No.

They could move to California. Then it would be Newsome's fault.

#15 - that's not following the logic nor the consequences for bad decisions made by DeSantis. That's not even a rational statement. It's reflexive.

I know that the communicable disease experts initially said that we would get to herd immunity when around 70% of the population was vaccinated. Now that number is higher, north of 80%, thanks to the variants. What's going to happen is that blue states will get to 70-80 percent and reach herd immunity, but the red states, FL, TX, the cousin lovin' belt won't get there. I know one thing, if I travel for recreation I will be avoiding the red states. It's too bad, I was looking forward to taking my immigrant wife to Orlando someday. She really loves movies, and she had a blast at Disneyland and Universal Studios in LA. I thought she'd find the theme parks in Orlando fun too, but sadly that will have to wait until all the vaccine resistant GQP die of the disease.

Gunslinger, you simply need to build a bunker. And stay in it.

if a virus with a ridiculously high survival rate scares you...you don't want to know what the rest of the world has to offer.

Seriously...you may not be meant for this world. many of you aren't.
