Good.

It is bad enough that the Olympics have been grossly super-commercialized.

However, given the state of Japan's COVID-19 situation, I wonder if the Olympics will take place?

It's going to be the boringest Olympics ever.

No Spectators no parades outside of the stadium no cash cow for businesses.

BLM is about as useless as MAGA. Since when have groups under either banner (and commercial apparel) done a net positive to actually further the causes their initials represent? At best, they're empty, cynical political slogans. At worst, they both have elements of violent terrorists in their ranks.

#6, what are you saying here, that Chauvin was only convicted because of the violence and riots during the protests? Is that justice?

Or are you agreeing that the violence and riots (especially targeted at random entities which had nothing to do with what Chauvin did) were unnecessary and probably counterproductive?

Chauvins conviction happened in spite of the violent riots, not because of them. Anyone who argues otherwise is helping his lawyers make his case for an appeal.

I sincerely hope there is a new heir to Black Olympic protest. John Carlos and Tommy Smith can be the only ones with balls.

The irony here. This is the exact reason Chauvin's lawyers have put in an appeal to get the conviction overturned, a biased juror that went to BLM protests.

#10 Sitz.
There will be no appeal.
Jurors lie.
Attorneys lie.
Judges lie.
Cops lie.
Victims lie.
Witnesses lie.

I found it interesting how many politicians made statements to the fact that "justice had been served."

Would justice have equally been served if the jury had voted to acquit Chauvin?

If not, the implication is that "justice," whatever that is, is predetermined. So what would be the point of a jury?

"So what would be the point of a jury?"

Didn't you read To Kill A Mockingbird?
The point of a jury is to maintain the hegemony and preserve the social order.
