"So glad he was able to pardon a bunch of degenerates as his last move and sh*t on us on his way out," he wrote. "F*ck you Trump you left us on the battle field bloody and alone."

Can someone explain what 'great justice' was about to be achieved?

Also, what was the 'battlefield' on which he was deserted?

What's surprising is that this man has enough reality testing to understand that Donald Trump set them up for a fall and then ran away.

And people complain that Trump didn't do any good for the US. He has exposed, incited and abandoned a lot of crappy people. Thank you Trump.

@#5 ... And people complain that Trump didn't do any good for the US. He has exposed, incited and abandoned a lot of crappy people. Thank you Trump. ...

More and more of Trump supporters are being elected into office at the local and state levels, creating a pool of politicians who eventually will be moving into national office.

You may want to hold off thanking fmr Pres Trump for a while...

Loyalty has always been a one way street with Herr Fuhrer Trump. Shame on the Proud Boys for not doing their homework. Tsk, tsk.

Trump uses and abuses everything and everybody. Especially slow learners. Those are his favorites.

"It's all a sort of waking dream. These people are mentally ill."

It's a delusion, like the people who are conned into $cientology or becoming a SJW.

Al true. He's a snake, a weasel, a manipulative conman who is all about Donald, all the time. How anyone with half a brain could fail to see this, even before he announced his candidacy, is beyond me. Fools.

I can't speak for all the fools but the Proud Boys (and other like minded) certainly thought they were operating with the authority (and legal protection) of the President of the United States.

You almost have to feel sorry for people that dumb.

It's hard to conceive that there are people so stupid . . . so lacking in foresight with the breadth of intelligence limited to popping the top of a beer can . . . who believed that they were going to be the army, the Republican Guard so to speak, of Trump's new empire.

Nonetheless, I'm sure they had grandiose visions. This was their moment to shine (and make headlines) without a thought that they were being conned by a petulant wannabe dictator who, himself, was operating under the guise of a "leader" contrary to all that is known about him.

Nation to Trump fans who marched on Washington... "He used you like he uses everyone around him! Just like we've been saying for the last 2 years!"

One thing to keep in mind is that some members of those groups had a direct connection to Roger Stone, traveling with him and operating as his body guards, for example. They knew Trump and Stone go back decades, and they knew Trump pardoned Stone. If Stone encouraged them to go help Trump during the insurrection, it is easier to see how they might have believed they had Trump's blessing, and with that, his protection.

As an obsessive editor, I have to note, even this long after the fact, that I meant "all true" in #11, not "Al true."
We now return to our regular programming. :)

Sounds like a "normal tourist" to me. Hopefully everyone got a nice souvenir they can bury in their backyard (for the FBI to find later).

Let's face it. Pretty much all of us still know people who genuinely continue to buy into the Cult of Trump. It really is a form of either fantastical thinking or mental illness. No facts based in reality other than racism or extreme personal wealth can explain why so many Republicans continue to support Trump.
