Barring last-minute unforeseen circumstances, Yamina leader Naftali Bennett will announce in a meeting with his faction on Sunday that he has agreed to form a coalition government with Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid, sources in the faction who spoke to Bennett told The Jerusalem Post on Saturday night.

Netanyahu needs to prepare for prison anyway.

So... Mar-a-Lago has a new tenant. Hope he doesn't expect much.

ALSO:

The Knesset Guard decided Sunday to increase security for Yamina party No. 2 MK Ayelet Shaked as she and party leader Naftali Bennett faced threats from right-wing activists over a decision to join with the Yesh Atid party in a unity government, Hebrew media reports said.

Right-wing activists have been lobbying Bennett and Shaked to not join with Yesh Atid leader MK Yair Lapid in a coalition that would oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On Sunday, Bennett announced that he would do just that. In a bitter counter-address minutes later, Netanyahu said Bennett was cheating his voters, and called the planned Bennett-Lapid coalition "a left-wing government" that constituted "a danger to the security of Israel and a danger to the future of the state."

Of course, Yamina is also rwing, so it's not a lefty coalition by any means.

Don't walk away from Bibi's political grave just yet. The guy is a zombie. He's also trying to stay out of court.

I don't give a crap about Israeli politics but I still do hold a grudge against American politicians who set up a joint house of Congress for Nuttyahoo without informing the President. That level of betrayal borders on treason but then on 1/6 we say open treason which is now supported by the GOP. They are traitors, they are despicable. How do any of you still support them? Are you traitors too?

I hope Bibi doesn't expect to show up in the US anytime soon, to shmooze with the orange oaf and US Jews who support him. Getting an entry visa from the guy whose former boss was insulted by this political goon could be as tough as bringing lasting peace to the Middle East...

Netanyahu challenge to legality of rival's PM bid is rebuffed

JERUSALEM (Reuters) -A last-gasp legal challenge by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to thwart a bid by a rival rightist to head a new government was rejected on Tuesday as his opponents raced to seal a pact that would unseat him.
