Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, June 02, 2021

Trump has been telling a number of people he's in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn't how it works but simply sharing the information). It isn't happening in a vacuum. It is happening as he faced the possibility of an indictment from the Manhattan DA. But he is not putting out statements about the "audits" in states just for the sake of it. He's been laser focused on them, according to several people who've spoken with him (as well as WaPo reporting a few weeks ago).

What a loon. Total dumbass. I can't believe that ---- was elected president. Just goes to show how Hated Hillary was. The DNC has much to answer for. Hillary and Bill should pay reparations to America for destroying our government.

EFFETEPOSER

Hillary Clinton had a high approval rating before she ran for president. Then, House Republicans started their "BENGHAZI!!!" crap, which they openly admitted was just to bring her approval numbers down. And it worked.

BTW, Trump only won the WH because of under 70,000 votes spread between MI, WI, and PA. Clinton got millions more votes than Dotard in 2016.

IMO, it wasn't all about Hillary. The WH has frequently changed parties after a 2 term president.

BTW, I hope Trump seeks and gets the 2024 GOP nomination. He'll have one of the worst defeats in U.S. history.

" Hillary and Bill should pay reparations to America for destroying our government."

I get that Bill lied under oath about marital infidelity, but what exactly did Hillary do? I mean actually do, not some made-up pretense assuming a cartoonish concept of culpability without the prerequisite responsibility. Actually do.

"Trump has been telling a number of people he's in contact with (Proud Boys and Oath Keepers) that he expects he will get reinstated by August."

He has to say something to keep the hope alive among his dwindling supporters ~ at least the ones who aren't already headed for prison.

I suppose this is another one of those doomed-to-failure schemes that Sean Hannity cooked up for him. It doesn't have to be true. It just has to keep the pot boiling and the money flowing into his pocket.

It's too soon to tell now but as time ticks down to zero hour in 2024 I expect desperation to take its toll and somebody important is going get assassinated ~~ if for no other reason than to instill fear into anybody who dares to speak out against him.

It's the Russian way to hold onto power.

Only if the Dems manage to pass H.R.1, The For the People Act. Otherwise the tremendous efforts Republicans are putting into voter suppression are likely to get them back into power.

H.R.1 probably isn't going to happen until the new class of 2023 is sworn in.

Voters don't like being f-ed around with. Next year's turnout may reach presidential election levels because of all the Republican shenanigans over voting.

There are several vulnerable Repub senators or open GOP senate seats up next year.

The people may surprise us with a massive turnout and make all of this moot once the new Congress is sworn in January 2023. And because of Trump, the GOP candidates who win primaries will be the craziest of the crazies, making them unattractive to a majority of voters.

And only 25% of voters are registered Republicans. Only 73% of them now support Trump.

My hope is that Trump and his blessings upon the eventual GOP nominees will poison their chances.

Trump isn't so popular. Traffic to his website is down 99% from last year. And this:

Trump's Newsmax Interview on Tuesday Got Half as Many Viewers as a Chopped' Rerun

The one-hour sit-down with Steve Cortes and Jenn Pellegrino averaged just 295,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

That's less than half the eyeballs for a repeat of Food Network's "Chopped," which pulled in 651,000 on average in the midst of a multi-hour marathon of the cooking competition in the 9 p.m. timeslot. And it's roughly a third of what Bravo scored for a new episode of "Real Housewives of New York."

www.yahoo.com

So, couple Trumps sinking popularity with the fact his anointed candidates will most likely win their primaries, everyone else po'd about GOP voter suppression efforts, and things could actually be looking good for Dems in 2022
