Alan D. Blotcky: A growing and prevailing view is that Donald Trump has become delusional. His fixed and intractable obsession with his Big Lie is seen as proof of his psychosis.

Much, much worse than that......

Kessler Syndrome!

Trump has so much useless debris orbiting in and around his brain that reality becomes impossible to navigate.

The article argues that Trump is not a delusional man while describing him as being a delusional man.

Trump is both a mentally ill and an evil man. We've seen his kind before. He's the junkyard dog who was also kicked in the head as a pup. Much better for everyone if his poor health means a less-than-average life span. Otherwise, he and other mentally ill and evil persons will kill some more people. They have at least 500,000 to their credit so far.

The best thing Trump could do for his country is to expire. He is already well past his expiration date.

And rotten to the core.

I just can't imagine Americans would ever want to elect a President who wears diapers. His supporters will try to deny that he does but it is pretty obvious that he does.

It's much worse than this because he's awakened and/or emboldened a sector of this country that is pure evil, and one that I only thought existed on the margins.

When you combine this with the absolute evil of McConnell and the absolute selfishness of Manchin, we are beyond screwed. The only thing we can do is make sure every single Democrat, gets in line and votes in person with a photograph of their ballot.

"The ----------- is neither on the side of the true or the side of the false. His eye is not on the facts at all. ... He does not reject the authority of the truth, as the liar does, and oppose himself to it. He pays no attention to it at all. By virtue of this, -------- is a greater enemy of the truth than lies are."

It's the Senate that has me confused. Are the GOPers delusional too? Surely they must believe there are great rewards for them in this caper Trump is trying to pull off. Can't they read the odds?

Trump proved he was anti-American by inciting the insurrection against our government on Jan. 6. He does not love democracy and does not care about the will of the people. He wants to be a dictator, pure and simple. Disregarding the Constitution and overthrowing our government are nothing to a man desperate for the continued taste of power, greed and adulation. Nothing about that is a delusion.

Trump is a megalomaniac who thinks he is smarter, richer and stronger than anyone else. Everything he says and does is aimed at fortifying his grandiose and superior persona. He never admits to a mistake. He never acknowledges a loss. He always doubles down on a position. He does not care a whit about the people of this country. Grifting others is his sport. Despite being impeached twice and losing the national election by 7 million votes, Trump marches on with his false self of grandiosity. That is not a delusion " it is his psychic machinery of self-preservation.

He is without a doubt a clear and present danger to America and American democracy.

More from the cited article...

...Calling Trump psychotic misses the point. It creates an excuse for a man who deserves none. Trump is a fearful, vindictive, anti-American megalomaniac. It is this combination of features that accounts for his "condition" or "state" since leaving office on Jan. 20.

Trump is terrified because he is looking down the barrel of a long list of potential criminal charges. The empaneling of a grand jury in New York has intensified his worries. He thinks that if he is somehow returned to the presidency, he will be protected from the indictments against him. So he is seeking a way to have the November election reversed through "audits" and spreading the fiction that he will be reinstated to the presidency in August. This is not a delusion. It is the wishful thinking of a humiliated and disgraced ex-leader who, it turns out, may be a criminal as well.

Trump thrives on destroying people who have been disloyal to him. He is actively trying to tarnish the reputations of Republicans who have not supported him....

Seems to me that the author is pretty much correct in describing fmr Pres Trump.

This mess did not end with Biden's inauguration. 30% of the Republicans believe Trump is going to be President in August. Many, many more believe Biden stole the election. JBS meats was hacked, the oil pipeline was hacked and Orange Jesus let his Big Daddy Putin have his way with the Russian State sponsored computer hack. What do you think the Democrats would do if they thought Trump stole the election? This is not going to end well. Somewhere there is a lone wolf looking for an opportunity and there are many opportunities. One of the guys I worked with was posting the Unabomber Manifesto on Facebook. He now works for the Veterans Administration. I reported him to the FBI. I live in a Liberal Blue state. When I get beyond the big city limits it quickly falls off into a Red state. This will not end well. The Republicans are Delusional and nothing will break the fever.

"This will not end well. The Republicans are Delusional and nothing will break the fever."

Possibly true but the leaders of the Republican Party could at least try to convince their ignorant masses that democracy is more important than Trumpocracy. I see a few of them trying and I do applaud them but not enough of them, the leaders of the GOP need to find the courage to stand up for America and those that won't need to be called out for their cowardice.

The GOP is drunk with Power. Since McConnell
has ruled the Senate, it has become their mantra.
"Win at all costs". No matter the harm it does to
the country. No matter the lies told and spread.
No matter the damage to future generations...

The GOP is literally a larger threat to the country
than China or Russia anymore...

Unless of course, you don't mind BECOMMING China or Russia...
(looks pointedly across the isle at the GOP)
