In the first federal ruling on vaccine mandates, a Houston judge Saturday dismissed a lawsuit by hospital employees who declined the COVID-19 shot.

Many of the employees were suspended last week. Some have since had at least one shot.

In typical Judge Lynn Hughes fashion, he eviscerated the the plaintiff's case. His order is short and to the point, a grand total of five pages. He does not suffer fools in his court. I would not have wanted to be in Woodfill's position at the hearing.

Methodist doesn't need to fire anti vaxxers for refusing the vaccine. Fire them for being too stupid to work in a hospital.

"There are lots of people who lack education but who have great natural intelligence and a desire to learn, including most of the people I grew up with. Stupid is different. To win a degree in stupid, you have to willfully reject facts in favor of superstitions, myths, fears and conspiracy theories. And then get all your news from fake or biased news sites targeted at the stupid."

Texas is a "right to work", at-will state, and these plaintiffs thought they had a leg to stand on? It seems like the hospital could just fire them for wearing the wrong color outfit, no less endangering the life of the patients and staff of the hospital.

This idea that the vaccines are dangerous and untested is foolish. There may be long-term effects we are unaware of, but there certainly isn't anything short-term except for a few extremely rare reactions. We know CoViD-19 has long-term affects for a large percentage of people who get it, even some who are asymptomatic. It is sad that medical professionals are so ignorant of actual medical facts. It makes me question how good they are at their actual jobs.
