MFA:

Fox has admitted its reason for this souped-up coverage: the 2022 midterm elections. And in order to drum up outrage, the network has repeatedly amplified a lie that critical race theory teaches that one race is "inherently superior to another."

CRT has become their latest obsession and greatest distraction. Think about all of the things they aren't talking about on Fox News--e.g., the insurrection--while they air segment after segment on CRT.

They can't stop talking about CRT.

Only taking a break to whine "Why do liberals have to make everything about race?"

So much winning!

Critical race theory battle invades school boards -- with help from conservative groups
www.nbcnews.com

...In towns nationwide, well-connected conservative activists, and Fox News, have ramped up the tension in fights over race and equity in schools.

A ------------ billboard. A list of demands. A conservative media frenzy.

Jeff Porter, superintendent of a wealthy suburban school district in Maine, had no idea that his community was about to become part of a national battle when in the summer of 2020 a father began accusing the district of trying to "indoctrinate" his children by teaching critical race theory.

To Porter, the issue was straightforward: The district had denounced white supremacy in the wake of George Floyd's murder by police, but did not teach critical race theory, the academic study of racism's pervasive impact.

But the parent, Shawn McBreairty, grew increasingly disgruntled and soon connected with No Left Turn in Education, a rapidly growing national group that supports parents as they fight against lessons on systemic racism. That action turned a heated conflict with the school board into one that soon drew national attention, mobilized by a new, increasingly coordinated movement with the backing of major conservative organizations and media outlets.

It's a movement that has amped up grassroots parental organizing around the country, bringing the lens and stakes of national politics " along with the playbook of seasoned GOP activists " to school boards....

It looks like the white supremacy within the GOP has taken a firm hold, with Fox News as the cheerleader....

It's because they're so close to achieving their goal. Gotta keep the old white people and rural trash up in arms about something that doesn't matter to them anyway.

Did Fox infiltrate the Smithsonian and the Coca-Cola Company and force them to use that idiotic material? Fox will never change. Maybe we should be focusing on those who gave Fox something to latch onto.

#8 | Posted by sentinel at 2021-06-15 04:55 PM | Reply

NPR probably mentions race, white supremacy and privilege at least as often.

Nice irrelevant "whataboutism" with a ridiculous false equivalence, there, Sentinel. Please tell me you're not that stupid. Just pretend if you have to.

That's how brainwashing works, find a simple slogan or a thought easy enough that even mouth breathing knuckle-draggers can mindlessly repeat it while having zero idea what it means, and then repeat it over and over and over again, just the way their tremendous, crooked, witch hunt of a fat old Gawd King taught them to.

Steve Schmidt @SteveSchmidtSES
It does for sure, but it's more sinister. The collapse of local journalism and corresponding oversight means that School Boards are increasingly an entry level office for political extremists. Not good.

Both FoxNews in particular and the right-wing base in general always need a boogeyman to rally the base in horror of. I mean you can only dwell on HRC and Benghazi for so long. And even AOC becomes a little stale after a few years. CRT is still relatively new and fresh. Give it at least until after the '22 midterm elections before they move on.

We've watched it for decades. Nixon's "Southern Strategy," Reagan's "Welfare Queens," Bush I's Willie Horton, Trump's Immigrants and nonsensical phony enemies, etc etc.

Republicans can't win without bogeymen. It's all they have left now.

Republicans used to care about Communism. Now, they wholeheartedly support former KGB head Putin and tax breaks to move manufacturing to China, who are using their cash to build a powerful military.

Is it racist that almost no one knew about the tulsa race massacre until just recently? I know I never learned about that major event in american society in my red state school.

"Fox Mentioned 'Critical Race Theory' Nearly 1,300 Times in Under 4 Months"

That's nearly 1300 more times than every grade school teacher that I had in the St. Louis area mentioned the St. Louis Race Massacre.
en.wikipedia.org

It's nearly 1300 more times than any teacher I ever had mentioned that right up until a few years before I was born that black people were legally not allowed to buy homes in certain areas of the city/county. It's nearly 1300 more times than any teacher ever explained to us students the profound effect and long term lasting legacy on our city. They told us about segregation but they always presented as something that happened in southern states. Never once did they discuss with us how the lives and thoughts of all of us white kids that school were still being affected those decisions of the past.

It's nearly 1300 more times than any teacher ever mentioned that Missouri Welfare Department broke up black families by barring the father not just from living with their family in St. Louis housing developments such as Pruit-Igoe and Darst-Webbe, but from legally living in the state of Missouri at all.

They broke up black families on purpose. Read the Moynehan report from the fifties. The Klan knew exactly what it was doing when it started saying stuff like "believing in the nuclear family is white Supremacy".
