Would you place a bet with an ESPN sportsbook? The media giant is going "all-in" on sports betting, said sources.

Would be interesting if the Mouse company decides to get into gambling. Guess it wouldn't be surprising considering that they run the top site and app for fantasy football

It's all about the $$$. ESPN has been becoming irrelevant for a long time.

@#2 ... ESPN has been becoming irrelevant for a long time. ...

Yes, but if you still have cable TV with ESPN, then you're paying nearly $10 per month for that irrelevancy.

Disney seems to tell the cable operators, ~ if you want to carry Disney channels and ABC channels, then you have to pay the outrageous ESPN fees.

The ESPN fee is how ESPN can afford to pay billions to the teams to carry pro sports which, in turn, is part of how those ridiculously high player salaries are paid...

I remember when all you saw on ESPN was Big East basketball and Australian Rules football.

I liked watching it when they ha the minor league baseball games. It was really enjoyable to watch players who were playing because they liked to play for the sport of it instead of playing for the money.

I liked watching it when they ha the minor league baseball games.

Last year, I had a laugh at myself watching the 198X World Series or some other anachronistic sporting event for a little while during the height of COVID.

I REALLY enjoyed watching golf without all the morons yelling "GET IN THE HOLE!" every f****ng putt.

They need to ban those "get in the hole" idiots.

They seem like they're everywhere ... like Trump's token "black guy" they positioned behind him at every rally.

I enjoyed watching TV golf without the galleries.

Meanwhile Pete Rose, without doubt one of the greatest baseball players ever, continues to be held out of the Baseball Hall of Fame for betting on baseball. Ill wager that Pete is not the only ballplayer who bet on the game or on his team to win. And for those who might be wondering whether the Hit King ever bet on his own team to lose--well, forget it. Pete and the rest of the Big Red Machine came from an era when they not only hated to lose but did their best to win EVERY game...
