Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

In the wake of Donald Trump's 2020 election defeat, many QAnon followers have hatched a plan: run for school board or local office, spread the gospel of Q, but don't call it QAnon.

Does anyone else find it stupidly ironic that a group whose motto is: "Where we go one, we go all" doesn't even know the name of their leader? Obviously Q isn't going anywhere with anyone.

This is just a redo of the GOP plan to do... well, the very same thing. And it was pretty effective, considering they had already gerrymandered the districts.

If there's a person that works at your school that constantly babbles on about child molestation be it covert or otherwise you have a problem.

The first thing they will do is shut down the sale of pizza in the cafeteria.

We had a few "creationists" stealth their way onto the school board when my kid was young. We re-called the lot of them.

Pretty sure they're already entrenched in our local School Board.

If it is the same or worse as when I was in school - that would be a VERY good thing.

Just what America needs...psychos on our school boards. People who don't believe in education being in charge of education....just like Betsy Devoss.

New plan or old plan? I found this in an article I posted about how to stop removal of Confederate statues:

The document [from 2016] says that "the SCV [Sons of Confederate Veterans] cannot take sides in partisan politics", but immediately adds the recommendation that "SCV members run for any office for which they qualify".

It then offers examples showing how this can help the SCV's cause: "Being a member of a school board might help prevent the removal of names of Southern heroes from school names in a district. Being on a county commission might prevent the removal of a statue from the courthouse lawn."

On the specific issue of efforts to retain Confederate symbolism in city or state flags, the document points out that these decisions are made by elected officials, so that "in these fights, having our members or supporters in elected positions is paramount", adding that "having our people run for elective office cannot be overemphasized."

Similarly, on the question of renaming schools or changing mascots, the document points out that "mascots for public schools are decided by school boards. Having supporters elected to these boards is very important."

The GOP has figured out that political participation from the bottom (school boards) up matters. Democrats need to come to the same realization pronto.

The left is not nearly as fervent in their extreme views, IMO. What boogey monster does the left have to fear from the right? It's completely different from the right's POV. All the sorts of indoctrination the right fears the left will impose upon their children drum up a ---- ton of fear. The left is not nearly as scared. Hence, far less motivation to run for seats on school boards.

BTW, who in the flying ---- is considered a hero on the Confederate side?

Unless, of course, 'hero' is NOW synonymous with 'traitor.'
