Just find another church. This pastor is unvaccinated and is likely to die. No reason to be there to watch it.

... you start showing up (with) all these masks and all this nonsense, I will ask you to leave," pastor Greg Locke told his Nashville-area congregation during a service on Sunday. "I will ask you to leave. I am not playing these Democrat games up in this church." ...

Wow, just wow.

This is how deep into America fmr Pres Trump's politicization and abetting of COVID has tunneled itself.

The Pastor of a church is aiding and abetting the enemy, helping it to kill off Americans.

Ok, I dont like posting personal information on here to help narrow down who I am IRL, but I live next door to a church and they are the worst neighbors I have ever had in my life. I have never lived next door to anyone that has ever treated me worse, ever. They scream and cuss, are covered in trashy tattoos (not nice looking tats at all, looks like jail tats), allow their dogs to harass me while they run loose in their parking lot, and just generally are horrible people. So this does not surprise me and if the article had been about a church in Idaho I would think it was my neighbors.

Fun fact - I have lived next to several bars in cali and in idaho and been treated better each time. The whole extended family lives on the church grounds and "work" there.

Evangelical "Christians" are CINO's - Christians In Name Only

"Pro-life?" Absolutely not!

"Pro-birth" only. They don't give a rat's ass about human beings once they're out of a womb.

It's a great way to gain publicity for his church. I bet their next service will be filled with all kinds of people he has never met and they will all be wearing masks.

The United Methodist Church is a big fan of Medical Science.

I would recommend his congregation start going there and leave the creepy death cult in their dust.

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.

6" If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written:

" He will command his angels concerning you,

and they will lift you up in their hands,

so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'

7J Jesus answered him, "It is also written: Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'

Throw yourself offa the temple. Go play in traffic. Don't take protective measures for yourself and others during a pandemic.

Same things.

I find the clearest challenge in The Parable of the Talents: if you don't use the good sense God gave you, you'll have a lot of 'splainin' to do on arrival at the Pearly Gates.

Personally, I have NKJV... it corrects a lot of translation mistakes. In this case, "test" is at least as accurate as "tempt", and prolly more accurate.

Because whenever the IRS gets into denying tax exempt status to fake charities like this, the ---------- on the right have a public meltdown.

All of these prosperity gospel preacher con men should lose it.

Westboro Baptist church should.

This ---- should.

Any church that pushes a political candidate on either side of the aisle should lose it.

The NRA should lose it.

There needs to be non-profit reform. 95% of expenses should be strictly to providing their charitable services. Strict limits on compensation to officers and family members.

- God doesn't exist outside of the mind of humans.

I'm certainly glad to get the final word on that!

- You can't read the Bible and stay a Christian.

Most people are reading a 500 year old translation of ancient Hebrew, a dead Greek variant, and Aramaic... all previously translated into Latin.

Really, it's kind of like trying to just "read" an original poem in Old English; you won't get it with just a read-thru, study is necessary.

A huge part of what American Christians believe is tradition based on a poor understanding of what the original texts actually say.

#28 | Posted by Tor at 2021-07-28 01:09 PM | Reply

You can read the bible and still be a Christian

The problem is taking it all as literal.

---

As for never reading the bible, I wouldn't doubt it. A surprising number of people don't like to read and are oddly proud of it.

I'm an atheist.
I don't care if you're religious or not.
Just don't try to shove your religion in
my own or my child's face.

Morality to me, has always been more important than religion anyways. I would like to believe that IF there were a God, that they would care a bit more if you lived a moral life, rather than if you were Mormon vs. Episcopalian. Because that would be just nuts...

The local Covid testing/tracing team should direct all positive cases to isolate at the church. Jesus will cure them.

Too bad Pastor Locke can't learn form Pastor Reeve:

"I was wrong:" Corsicana pastor regrets not getting vaccinated after contracting COVID-19

A Corsicana pastor says his fight against COVID-19 has changed his perspective on getting the vaccine.

The North Texas pastor has been battling the virus for more than 20 days. He admits he was not vaccinated but now plans to after his near-death experience.

Danny Reeves is used to teaching the word of God every Sunday at First Baptist Church in Corsicana. But over the last few weeks, he says he's been the one learning.

"God puts us through these moments to teach us the lessons," he said. "I didn't mean to be cavalier. I didn't mean to be overconfident. But there's a lot of people just like me that haven't gotten the vaccine."

www.fox4news.com

Of course, Pastor Locke isn't just cavalier and overconfident. He's arrogant and selfish. Woe to him should God decide to teach him a lesson.

Something gives me the impression that he's gotten the vaccine. Too much risk to revenue if he goes down with a serious case, and there really isn't an upside.

Plus if/when he does get mild symptoms he can milk donations for god to save him, maybe release a few pics of him looking like he's at deaths door and people will eat that up like B K Udon (or so I hear).

Maybe the masks will interfere when the pastor smears their faces with Great Dane feces. At least that's why the California Pastor Dan Burgoyne believes in. Right wing Christians are going full blown insanity.

I'm in Nashville. I'll go! And also wear a button that says, "PRO-LIFE? SAVE OTHERS BY GETTING VAXED!" :-)

I know how to spout evangelical cafeteria Christian BS with the best of 'em too!

(Cafeteria Christians pick and choose - like a buffet - based on what they need to justify)

Maybe I'll just stencil "Pro-life" across the front of my mask.

What could they say? They're against the phrase? LOL
