Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, July 28, 2021

During an interview with Slate's Jim Newell Rep. Mo Brooks revealed he was very concerned about safety on Jan. 6: "I was warned on Monday that there might be risks associated with the next few days," he said. "And as a consequence of those warnings, I did not go to my condo. Instead, I slept on the floor of my office. And when I gave my speech at the Ellipse, I was wearing body armor. That's why I was wearing that nice little windbreaker," he told me with a grin. "To cover up the body armor."

Wow.
Another piece of ---- admits it.

Have you seen this?

If a bank teller did this and later used that excuse they'd lock him up even if they found no other evidence he was in on the robbery.

He was obviously complicit on the attacks against democracy and should he he Heyld accountable for it, if that involves prison time then that is what should happen. He should not be allowed to serve in the U.S. Congress one single day forward. He should be accused, tried and convicted of treason. Personally, I hope scum like him die in prison. Hey, that's more lenient than many Americans feel, who believe he should face a firing squad. Pure scum, whatever punishment is decided he deserves the worst possible. If it's death, that's ok with me.

Can't you tell he's yelling, "DON'T SHOOT THE TOURISTS!" (/snark)

I thought of wearing a Crimson Tide helmet, but Tommy Tuberville told me to go just with the vest since the point was to protect only vital organs.

Why would he need to wear body armor to a "peaceful" protest?

Same reason Rudy needed secret service protection that day.

#7 - unrecognized FF for that one, Doc :)

Interesting, Gal!

Coupled with his violent speech, this paints Mo as squarely in the position of (Da dah, dah, dah DUH!) A premeditated attempt to over throw..

All pretense of 'spontaneous peaceful demonstrations', melts into a Conspiracy to Violently overthrow the US Gov.

And, no, Mo! Having constituents who want you to do it does not mitigate your crime.

What did he know? And when did he know it?

#11 | Posted by LampLighter at 2021-07-29 10:06 AM | Reply

"What did he know? And when did he know it?"

Irrelevant. He was obviously complicit with the Insurrectionists who were hunting for Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence with the intention of killing them so that there could not be a certification of the election. He belongs in Leavenworth for many years.

@#12 ... Irrelevant. ...

I think it is quite relevant because the next questions are then along the lines of, who was he communicating with to find out what he knew...

Then it becomes even more interesting.

Lost of tourists wear body armor

Actually, being an invertebrate, Brooks wore body armor simply to give him a spine. Otherwise, he might have slowly oozed out of his windbreaker and gotten trampled. He's kind of like a white supremacist mollusk.

There are a lot of mollusks in the GOP. Inside their tough exteriors they're just mushy little beings that are best suited to a quick boil to pop them open and put them out of their misery.

He didn't need to worry about a head shot, since he's got no brains to blow out..

Along those lines...

House Republicans meet with Trump to discuss overturning election results (December 2020)
www.politico.com

... President Donald Trump huddled with a group of congressional Republicans at the White House on Monday, where they strategized over a last-ditch effort to overturn the election results next month, according to several members who attended the meeting.

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) -- who is spearheading the long-shot push to overturn the election results in Congress -- organized the trio of White House meetings, which lasted over three hours and included roughly a dozen lawmakers. ...

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), however, told reporters Monday that the House GOP's effort is "going down like a shot dog."

Other members who were in attendance include some of Trump's staunchest allies on the Hill, such as Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

"Big meeting today with @realDonaldTrump, @VP, the President's legal team, @freedomcaucus and other Members of Congress," Hice tweeted. "I will lead an objection to Georgia's electors on Jan 6. The courts refuse to hear the President's legal case. We're going to make sure the People can!"...

That's quite the collection of Republicans apparently plotting to overthrow a properly-elected government. No wonder Rep Cheney said what she did about Rep Jordan.

He was at that meeting?

Subpoena him. He's one of the few who might actually tell the truth.

I'll make it easier for you:

How many congressmen and women had to flee for their lives and an armed mob tried to murder them?

If Brooks was the least bit chivalrous he would've draped his body armor over Ashli Bulleteater's head.

Yav,
If they don't know they can look it up.
My point is Mo in words and actions was prepared for violence on January 6, and there's no doubt he was calling for it.
