Trump was so on my mind when this happened that I never shared proof that Canadians can be rednecks.

A got a chuckle out of it.

Isn't Alberta the "Texas" of Canada.

God bless Alberta's police, keeping the province rat free!

Rats, they would have shot.

I'd have thought they'd relocate these two to Eastern Vancouver?

Being free of Rats is great.Definitely don't miss the grain fed behemoths of the lower mainland.Had one chew through 1 inch plywood in Langley and could hear it in the walls of the farmhouse at night breathing. Finally got it late one night coming home wasted through the veranda/ front porch area when I heard it behind the freezer.I blocked the hole it had chewed through previously leaving it trapped behind the deep freeze and summoned my Dog and pulled the freezer out.The Rat went for the dog but She side stepped and pinned it down, 3 seconds later the Rat was dead. The rats corpse 3/4 filled a Nalleys chip box.

I agree. We don't have them in my part of the world... probably too high up and too many predators.

My sister has pet rats. The very idea is so counterintuitive to the way we were raised.

I wonder what ever happened to mice? I never saw a rat until I was an adult. Mice were the miniature mammals we sought to eradicate from our domiciles when I was a kid. I've emptied more than one Victor mouse trap in my formative years.

You didn't have a Slavia pellet rifle? Poor deprived child.

I stomped a baby rat's head with my boot heel. I threw his, or her, warm body in the dumpster, for friends to feast upon.

You know that feeling when the skull snaps?

We get pack rats (aka ----------- woodrat). Kinda cute, up to a pound, and a pain when they move in (usually right before winter).

Raccoons are the worst, but highly entertaining to watch.

To confirm this is indeed true, watch "Trailer Park Boys" on Netflix.

It's absolutely hilarious!

Daisy. But I wasn't allowed to shoot it in the house.
