Second Thought on YouTube "The truth about the Cuba protests" says the media is lying. They use pics and videos from other events and even falsely claiming protests against the govt when they are 'for' the govt. What is going on?

Mexicans, Central Americans and Afghans are welcome, Cubans, not so much.
- senile Joe Biden.

"Mexicans, Central Americans and Afghans are welcome, Cubans, not so much.

And just why are Cubans a special class or refugees? I once sat with a few young Cuban American refugees who proceeded to tell me why Cubans are virtually superior to all other people from South and Central America. I listened politely but rejected every statement they made.
Now rich Cuban Americans who took their wealth and left Cuba years ago and who were given huge amounts of aid when they got here demanding America send troops to Cuba basically to restore the wealth they were too cowardly to fight for before they left.
I want Cuba to be free but I am honest enough to realize the way to get there is through allowing American tourism and letting Americans go there and spend money in small enterprises set up by Cuban people.
The idea of sanctions, and embargos have failed for 60 years. No, if you want to turn Cuba into a Market economy as East Germany is today, end embargos and sanctions. Let them discover the concept of profit which America pretends to believe in as the cure for poverty and, sometimes, rightly so.
It is not my opinion but instead a fact, successful revolutions do not begin in the poorest classes, no, they begin with the successful middle classes but if you use sanctions and embargos you kill the middle class and thus prevent any successful revolution.

Cuba does not allow "small enterprises setup by the Cuban people" to sell to tourists or allow "successful middle classes" to exist. embargos didnt crush that, communism did.

Cuba also doesn't allow the rich to "take their wealth and leave Cuba". the "Rich Cuban Americans" you met likely came here with nothing and built succcessful lives.

No the embargos haven't worked but why don't you listen to the Cubans instead of suggesting we do EXACTLY what the corrupt fascist Cuban dictatorship wants us to do?

And if you are talking about the recent wave of "private sector expansion" in Cuba, that is a farce. It is a propaganda pretend show. Even under the "reforms" the tax structure makes it impossible to run a profitable entrepreneurship legally. Those who are successful continue to engage in black market commerce, the only difference is they have direct governmental oversight and taxation.

MIRANDA7 is just wrong> Before trUMP sHUT DOWN TOURISM TO Cuba just to win the votes of S. Florida's right wing Cuban community there were many small restaurants set in people's homes. It is said that doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. By that measure American foreign policy towards Cuba is insanity.

You were correct about corrupt and dictatorship, but calling the Cuban Government "fascist"... That deserved a "Funny" Flag. Thanks for demonstrating your ignorance. ..Or perhaps it's an attempt to deflect from the real fascism we've seen from the American Right.

Looks like someone fed you all the stupid today... and you had to gobble it right down.

I'm not even going to entertain 'splainin decades Cuban special "refugee" immigration status to you.

Castro opened up its mental institutions and prisons one year... and we took them all. 125K +++++ "refugees"

1980 it was Reagoonietunes baby... talk about your senile preznits.

BTW we did Cuban lottery immigration for decades afterward.

ergo: GFY pendejo

Not sure when the liberals decided to reinvent the F word. Most certainly the Castro regime is fascist. Most certainly Trump is not. He is a populist. The American right is mostly obsessed with freedom and constitutional rights. Nationalist yes, racists no. But don't let history get in your way when you are making up new definitions for hundred year old words.

So Danni, you say Trump reversed Obama's tourism policies to win Cuban voters. So WHY do you think the majority of Cuban exiles have historically been in favor of the embargo? Ever think about that? Or you think YOU know better how to fix Cuba than generations of people who lived there and still have family there?

No, the embargo's are t working, but I think you should LISTEN to the Cuban people.

Typo, that was supposed to say NAtionalists yes, fascists no.

Not sure you finished High School. But by every definition I've ever seen, fascism has far more in common with the Trump Administration and Republicans than it does with the Castro's Cuba. Fascism and communism are almost diametrically opposed. One of the few similarities they may sometimes have in common is authoritarianism. Although, authoritarianism actually defeats the ideals of true communism.
