The question has become -- will Gov DeSantis admit he was wrong and change his direction to put the health of good people of Florida first and foremost on his agenda?

Or will he continue to kowtow to the Trump base and side with the enemy virus against the American people?

"It'll just disappear, like magic!"

Will never happen. Nikki could have recommended the Guv call the fire department to put out the fire at Ronny's house, and the response would be "I want it to burn". The orange fascist and his ilk never concede, never back down and never do anything but what brings them personal and professional gain. If more Floridians die and more Florida businesses suffer from DeSantis' actions and inaction, too bad for them, or so he thinks...

Desantis will never admit to being wrong and will not change course. Watch those dead bodies pile up in Florida.

Replace DESANTIS with REPUBLICANS.

Admitting they were wrong on covid will be just like admitting they were wrong about climate change, election fraud, or trickle down economics. When you've been lying so long about something, switching your position is an admission that you are a huge liar, which means no one should listen to you in the future.

Trump attacked the capital and attempted to end democracy and still no republicans changed their minds about him. You can't change your mind when you have no brains.

In order to advance their careers, Republican politicians have been required to kill some number of their constituents as a human sacrifice. This has been the norm for many years now. If you're surprised by this fact, you're either naive or stupid, willfully so, either way.

He will resist doing so because it plays against his narrative of being the best governor ever.

His hubris and political goals have been and will continue to kill Floridians until he is retired.

God help us if he ever gets into national office.

Republicans tend to only be reasonable when they aren't in charge.

"We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It's going to be just fine."

"China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!"

"We only have five people. Hopefully, everything's going to be great. They have somewhat of a problem, but hopefully, it's all going to be great. But we're working with China, just so you know, and other countries very, very closely. So it doesn't get out of hand. But it's, you know, it's something that we have to be very, very careful with, right? We have to be very careful."

"We pretty much shut it down coming in from China."

"We are coordinating with the Chinese government and working closely together on the coronavirus outbreak in China. My administration will take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from this threat."

"You just breathe the air and that's how it's passed. And so that's a very tricky one. That's a very delicate one. It's also more deadly than even your strenuous flus ... This is deadly stuff."

"The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!"

"When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done."

"Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. ... One of my people came up to me and said, Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.' That didn't work out too well. They couldn't do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over. ... And this is their new hoax."

"Gallup just gave us the highest rating ever for the way we are handling the CoronaVirus situation. The April 2009-10 Swine Flu, where nearly 13,000 people died in the U.S., was poorly handled."

"Anybody that wants a test can get a test. That's what the bottom line is."

"This was unexpected. ... And it hit the world. And we're prepared, and we're doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away."

"The vast majority of Americans, the risk is very, very low."

...and on, and on, and on...

I hate to say it but Alabama's governor is right and the unvaccinated are to blame for the pandemic not being over.
