He's more machine than human at this point.

Are Eberly, Boaz, GracieAmazed, and MSgt deeply troubled?

The GOP seems to have lost all contact with the GOP.

Our nation is in serious decay when we look to the likes of Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney as champions of democracy. Do not get me wrong, I do appreciate their voices today when it is so important but, my God, how things have changed so rapidly in this nation....when will it be time to rein in the liars on several networks who lie daily to their listeners and who are destroying our country? I do not want censorship but I think I do want some sort of obligation to tell the truth if you want to broadcast nationally even if it is only over the internet. Our Capital was invaded back in January, how much worse do we want it to get before we stand up to the extreme right?

Dick Cheney is deeply troubled, in general. On the other hand, even a broken clock is right twice each day.

Maybe Trump and Cheney should go hunting. Outdoor activities always bring people together...

In all seriousness, it gives me pause when Dick Cheney says the GOP is too extreme. Yikes!

dick, you deeply trouble us. your and lil bush douchebaggery begat this modern mess. feck off ya POS

I despise Dick Cheney.

But that's all the more reason why this is relevant.

It's like Himmler speaking up saying "Guys...maybe this is too far."

I have to agree with DANNI and VISITOR-this is a complicated situation, when the man who outed a 20 year CIA veteran for not supporting his lies and lit a fire in the middle east that still burns today, is now speaking out against his party. Liars bashing liars, the former of which started this train wreck that's the GOP today. We have 70 to 80 million stupids supporting the GOP loonies and 250 to 260 million who don't. In light of that, how is this happening?

"the man who outed a 20 year CIA veteran for not supporting his lies and lit a fire in the middle east that still burns today"

Let's not forget the worst of all: resetting the fiscal sights of America from surplus budgets to record deficits.

I have a feeling that this is due to the breakdown of traditional party norms. There are no stakeholders who benefit from the current state of the GOP, it is chaos to no greater cause. There are stakeholders for all political parties, and currently for the GOP's situation, those entities are experiencing withdrawal from previous status quo of attention in regards to policy and messaging support.

Few of the orange fascists boot-lickers know who Dick Cheney is, how he was employed in this country, and what he did. Cheney operated in a similar vein to Der Dotard, but understood the limits of law and decency. The orange oaf doesn't understand such, and neither do those who follow him...

Hey Dick, you and your unitary executive theory of government built this! Your go-it-alone attitude and lack of accountability for an illegal war and torture (yes that was the Obama Administration's fault, but to be fair they were busy solving the massive dumpster fire the Bush Admin left for the US economy) are what allowed Dotard and his regime to push the envelope further toward fascism, and now with the release of documents from DOJ we see exactly how close we were to the end of the American experiment. TucKKKer Carlscum is broadcasting from Hungary this week giving a nightly tongue bath to fascist dictator Viktor Orban. It's not because Hungary's economy is great under Orban, it's not, or because of his leadership on COVID, it sucks, it's because Orban got to where TucKKKer and the white nationalist GQP wanted Dotard to be, he's made himself an actual fascist dictator, cracking down on the media and disent, which is exactly what TucKKKer and the rest of the talking heads at Faux Spews want for the United States, because it's the only way to permanently protect their white xtian fascist minority rule in a country with quickly changing demographics.

Sounds like Dick is a sad daddy. This IS his party... just all growed up now... and acting just like he raised them to act.

BTW don't let Liz Cheney fool you with her doe-eyed "I'm the rational one" act... she is as bat $#!t as the rest of them.

Great, the former VP that pipe bombs puppy kennels for fun on the weekends is "troubled". Whee.

Remember when Dick Cheney was the most evil person in the GOP.

Pepperidge Farms remembers.

wow, while the Left burned down cities all over the country, but nothing to see here. just January 6 was the only thing that happened

In all fairness, I think that the difference is that the violent left sees themselves, and markets themselves, as overthrowing a democracy.

Trump supporters see themselves defending democracy, even while the end result of their efforts would be anything but democratic.

To put it more succinctly, the 1/6 rioters saw envisioned themselves as defending the US.

The Portland (and other leftist rioters) see themselves as the catalyst for something that would replace the US.
