No such thing in Florida.

where Joe Biden said on Tuesday: "I say to these governors, Please help'. But if you are not going to help, at least get out of the way of the people who are trying to do the right thing."

LMOO for real!

Joe has applesauce and melted ice cream dribble all over his shirt and he's telling governors to get out of the way. For what? So his hover round can pass to the handicapped stall?

I remember that line from the movie 'Gladiator'. "He shall give them death and they shall love him for it." Kind of sounds like the GOP fanaticism in Florida for Governor DeSantis.

"There was once a dream that was Rome, you could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish."

Sometimes I have similar thoughts with regard to our own Republic.

Florida has two ways to avoid stepping off a cliff.

1) Don't be a Lemming
2) Vote for Charlie Crist.

This story isn't about Biden. Now how about you tell us how you feel about how Desantis has handled Covid?
I notice the MAGAts have gotten awfully quiet about him over the past couple of months.

How about you tell us how you swallowed all that stuff when you were the locker room mascot? When you stop taking up for what's going on with this Alzheimer patient, I'll gladly answer questions.

This thread isn't about Joe Biden, it's about the Gov. of Florida who has led us to the highest death counts, hospitalizations from COVID in the nation and he doesn't want our schools to be able to mandate masks yet Belldunce tries his best to distract us from that. Quick killing DeSantis's ass Belldunce, it is just sad to see anyone stoop that low.

DeSantis isn't stupid. He's another one of those entitled knobpolishers - Yale, Harvard Law, pretentious attempts to be "one with the people" - who's got the rubes' number and the plutocrats' cash (e.g. Ocean Reef Resort + $250k = presto-chango, vaccinations for the rich donors). No, not stupid. Just another preening --------.

He's playing the whole..."you're smart enough to make your own decisions" card to a group of people who demonstrate they aren't on a daily basis.

When you think of how stupid the average American is, just remember half of them are stupider than that.

It sucks when you Balldinger plonked. Half the threads are incoherent. But it's still way more informative than the alternative. Not sure why you guys respond to his idiocy. Took me about 2 days to plonk him. He's worse than Sitzkreig.

But not as bad as Bill Johnson.

DeSantis Digs In on Mask Resistance as Covid Ravages Florida
www.bloomberg.com

... He's on television, he's in Michigan, he's on beer koozies. School officials face fall without power to mandate masks. ...

Covid patients are filling Florida's intensive-care units, oxygen supplies are short and school officials are defiant. But Governor Ron DeSantis is gambling that for Republicans, resistance to public-health measures shows his commitment to the conservative cause.

Health-care systems are converting cafeterias and conference rooms into patient areas, according to Florida Hospital Association President Mary Mayhew. The state, with 6% of the U.S. population, accounted for about 20% of its coronavirus cases in the past week.

During that same week, DeSantis found time to present himself to audiences elsewhere. The 42-year-old Republican, who's up for re-election next year, is also considered a top contender for the presidency in 2024. On Monday, he raised campaign funds in Michigan, the Detroit News reported. On Wednesday, he appeared on Fox News, where he downplayed pressure on hospitals as "misinformation" and blamed President Joe Biden's border policy for the introduction of new variants.

DeSantis has become the national face of GOP opposition to the fight against the pandemic, with his fundraising team even peddling T-shirts and beer koozies with his campaign logo and a slogan aimed at the nation's top virus-fighter, Anthony Fauci: "Don't Fauci My Florida." Last week, he threatened to withhold funding from school districts that mandate masks when classes restart this month. The rule sent officials rushing for workarounds, with some deciding they would take their chances with the money to protect children....

"and blamed President Joe Biden's border policy for the introduction of new variants."

Riiiiiiight.

Because the Delta carrier from India had to visit Mexico first.

Either DeSantis is an idiot, or he's convinced his voters are.

Florida okays school vouchers for COVID-19 harassment'
www.tampabay.com

...Florida's State Board of Education on Friday approved an emergency rule hastily crafted by Gov. Ron DeSantis' administration that will allow parents to use vouchers to move their children to another school if they perceive any type of "COVID-19 harassment" against their child in connection to district rules on masking, testing and isolation due to exposure....

The legislative intent for Hope scholarships was to provide vouchers to kids who are being bullied or harassed. ...

DeSantis is genuinely an idiot. I don't care how educated he is. Dubya graduated from Yale, he's still an idiot.

No moral center and no imagination. Little curiosity, he already knows it all.

What a Dumbass.

168,000 new cases and 849 reported deaths in the U.S. yesterday. In the middle of the summer, not winter.

Of those, 48,000+ cases and 292 reported deaths in Florida. And FL is probably under-reporting them.

And DeathSantis says "no masks for kids" ???

Yep, the GQP have become a death cult.

BTW, the family of a 28-year-old man who died of COVID held a vaccination pop up event at his funeral.

www.insider.com

And a Florida right wing radio host who railed against Dr Fauci and vaccines died yesterday. Right on cue, he 'came to Jesus' about vaccines when he contracted COVID. Too late!
