It would be nice if the Biden administration could take a position that if the state withheld money from a school district because they were following CDC guidelines, the federal government would withhold the same amount of money from the state and reimburse the school district for any withheld funds.

"The GOP adopts a policy of wage theft to help spread COVID?"

@#2 ... "The GOP adopts a policy of wage theft to help spread COVID?" ...

May I rephrase that?

"The GOP adopts a policy of wage theft to side with the enemy that is attacking the United States."

It's amazing that someone can be such a complete piece of s$%^, even if it means depriving people of their livelihoods just to have his Trumper way.

Political appearance over personal safety. So much for the party of personal responsibilities.

@#4 ... So much for the party of personal responsibilities. ...

I think it has gone beyond that.

To me it looks more like something along the lines of...

That is exactly it.

He's showing himself to be the Trump we all feared-far smoother and disciplined than Trump but just as willing to force his version of "reality" on everyone else if it furthered his political ambitions.

At what point does he get charged with blackmail?

Wage theft is a DOL violation.

Well more legal fees and costs that the taxpayers will have to pay for performance artists crisis theater.

And since Florida gets $4.50 in federal welfare for every dollar it sends to Washington, the taxpayers of NY and CA will be paying for it.

Love how Democrats are doing absolutely nothing with this to paint the Republicans as nuts and a death cult.

School districts need to call this bully's bluff. He will back down, while issuing some left-handed excuse or reason.

What's a school with no teachers? closed.

What does a closed school look like? Home schooling.

What's the last thing Florida moms want? Home schooling...

Hopefully Crist will beat DeathSantis and if he does he should withhold Death's pension.

Well they can't afford their overpriced McMansions without the taxpayer paid for day care.

Desantis Could Withhold Salaries of School Officials

And President Biden could pay them anyway.

White House Chief of Staff confirmed the "administration is looking into ways to possibly compensate any officials who lose pay if DeSantis follows through on his threat to withhold pay from individuals who enact mask mandates in schools."

Since there is nothing on DR today about racial issues (probably because there isn't anything hypocritical that can be posted), here's a teacher that should be fired. In fact, she is a TRUE representation of who the racists of the country are today. I'm surprise Dems haven't full out attacked her for exposing the Liberal side as racist. This is proof positive evidence of the real systemic racism that exists today...and it ain't coming from white people. The fact she is still employed is appalling. For all those Dems/BLM who absurdly claimed "If you aren't with us then you are against us", time to eat crow. Your silence in this situation is deafening. Since you are silent, it means you support segregation...just like if you are silent against other types of racism then you are a racist.

Maybe now it's time to be a little more humble? To own up to your mistakes and bad logic? To announce to the country you are going to fix your party for the better? It's OK to do that, it's actually a phenomenal thing to do. And all it takes is one prominent Dem, maybe a well known celebrity, to do it. Then all the rest of the Dems will follow along as usual.
