Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The governator has gone on a four-letter tirade informing stupid people that they have no right to infringe on the rights of others even if what they say they're doing is exercising freedom.

"No rights to infringe on others"

Obviously Arnold had not kept up with today's "libertarian" doctrine, which is the exact same as the "republican" doctrine, and that everything revolves around them and their victimhood complex

I remember when this whole twisted line of GOP thinking was in it's early phases. VP Dick Cheney opining on how all Americans deserve the right to drive large gas guzzling SUVs in the early 2000s as a matter of personal freedom.

So much of this stupid right wing "FREEDUMB" mind-set evolved alongside the gross expansion of the NRA. As if each American has a RIGHT to do or have whatever it is they want no matter who else it effects or harms, as a God given entitlement.

Hey remember when Republicans were trying to figure out if there was some way to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger president?

Yeah that really happened and now they're desperately trying to pretend like he's not a big deal in conservative circles.

All because he dared to try to keep Americans from dying from a stupid virus.

!!OMG!! Ahhhhhnuld was what the word RINO was meant for. He married a Kennedy kin and started his career in Venice Beach CA!!

He did the republicl0wn act because it sold tickets.

It sold tickets because republic0wns are gullible, easily brainwashed, and love a good war story where they win under the auspices of some uber butch super-soldier. Hence, he targeted them to be his audience.

Both he and Stallone capitalized on the "Vietnamization" of American culture where we lost wars and had a population of disgruntled soldiers who need the mental catharsis of shoot-em-up bang-bang flicks where our side wins. Raised in post-war Germany he knew the psychology of the defeated.

His image is not much different than the south using heroic statues to soften the blow of defeat. Metaphorically he is yet another statue painted red and torn down.

They re-hired Jerry Brown to clean up the mess he left... because the republicl0wns thought they hired some uber butch soldier who could give them bold victory and justify their stupid. Ahhhnuld only underscored it.

Sorry trumpers. I cannot allow you to pick my pockets or break my bones or give me a deadly virus. I will fight back.

I believe that Thomas Jefferson was right. You do not have the "freedom" to do any of those things. Because there are many here among us who won't let you get away with it.

Time to grow up trumpers. Your ideology lost. You lost that last election over 60 times! And you will lose it again and again. Unless you cheat of course. That is the only way Republicans can win. They are cheaters. And proud of it.

March 27 1915, Mary Mallon, known as "Typhoid Mary" was sentenced to a life in quarantine.

November 2017 Daryll Rowe was convicted of grievous bodily harm after intentionally infecting five men with the virus and attempting to infect five more.

You can be convicted of the criminal transmission of an STD only if you cause someone else to be infected intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly.

"A majority of states have communicable disease laws that make it a crime to expose another person to a contagious disease on purpose. Even without a specific communicable disease statute, all states have general criminal laws"such as assault, battery, and reckless endangerment"that can be used to prosecute people for spreading diseases intentionally or recklessly. And if emergency public health orders are in place, prosecutors can charge people with violations of quarantine and other emergency orders."

There are hundreds of documented cases across all free nations of criminal conviction and sentencing.

Shove your prepubescent understanding of "freedom" up your ass.

You speak as if a vaccinated person is at risk of death from COVID.

I mean, they are, but they're far more likely to die of something else. Like a car accident.

Authoritarians often use the guise of public safety to justify their positions. Remember the Belorussian sprinter who was seeking asylum. She didn't sates that she was going to be tortured. Or murdered.

She was going to be sent to a hospital.

One of the big differences between Europe and the US is that here, drivers are expected to show some common sense.

Provided it's safe, there's not much that's off limits. Which is why most of the training revolves around creating safe drivers. At a very high cost, relative to the US.

Wow, the stupid in this single response. It makes my brain hurt.

Your ignorance regarding the deadliness has been demonstrated numerous times, but I will respond to one point, about it not being a threat to national security.

Despite the efforts of a horrible president and childish adults refusing to take precautions well over 600,000 Americans have died from Covid in a little over a year and a half.

If we hadnt taken the appropriate precautions that number would have been far far higher.

So, yes Covid has been deadly and a threat to our national security given losses far exceeding the terrible number would have put our economy at permanent risk.

And in the balance is wearing a piece of cloth and getting a vaccine? THAT i the abrogation of individual rights?

When those are regularly and widely required for other diseases or for common decency?

You truly are an idiot.

There are guardrails we observe every day to keep stupid people from putting others in peril over their 'own decisions.' Try driving drunk, not wearing a seat belt, yelling 'fire!' in a theater, assaulting someone, firing a weapon in public simply because you 'want to, etc etc etc

We're in the middle of a deadly pandemic.

Someone's right to make their 'own decision' and put others in peril is as self-centered as it gets.

And life-threateningly dangerous.

Yesterday, there were ZERO pediatric ICU beds available in all of North Texas (which includes the DFW metroplex, home to over 6.39 million people). Unlike the previous waves, children are very much in danger from the Delta variant, and their vaccinated numbers are abysmally low since the vaccine still has not been approved for children 12 and under.

Only 88 ICU beds are open in the DFW area for anyone; car accidents, heart attacks, strokes, etc. And Abbott has expressly forbidden mask mandates to protect Texans.

Indeed, this balancing act is the reason we have the concept that shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater is not protected by the Constitution.

Same concept applies to vaccine mandates and mask mandates.

And, it even applies to driving on the right side of the road.

You have a right to peaceably assemble. Do you think you have the right to peaceably assemble on an Eisenhower Interstate System highway? Or do you think the Communists took that right away from you?

US military doctrine for officers involves understanding your commander's intent and using your local decision making to execute the mission.

But the end goal was still a unified effort towards a specific goal.

Could you imagine if major boaz had shown such a muh freedumz streak while executing a mission?

Authoritarians often use the guise of public safety to justify their positions.

Self centered idiots often use the guise of if it's just me' to justify their position.

While intentionally ignoring the collective effect of 120 million -------- doing the same thing.

You end up in the brig briefly like most good marines, then they send you back out to kill people because the Corp loves it.

The US Military branches give you a prize for good behavior, a good conduct ribbon.

Most don't have it. Let that sink in lol.

"You have the freedom not to wear any mask. But if you exercise that freedom, you are a jerk, because you are supposed to protect your fellow Americans, "he wrote.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was pictured leaving a hair salon with two of his friends in Beverly Hills on Friday afternoon No mask).

The 74-year-old actor appeared to be living the high life as he kept a cigar in his mouth while chatting with his pals before hopping into the driver's seat of his custom-made Hummer.

Cl0wns amuse me how they are convinced we of the left hate the wealthy or think no one should be wealthy.

That kind of stupid made your team lose the election.

I have one. Most everyone got one. And I misbehaved a lot. You CAN get in trouble and still get one. All the good marines and even a few bad ones have it. The trick was not to ever get caught. It was all about the timing too. And all you had to do was be smarter than the others. (Which was way easier back then I bet)

But. It's not the old Corps anymore. The majority actually have a high school education now. 90% I believe. They are jar heads but not a bunch of dum jar heads anymore. But they are just as tough. Smarter and Tougher. And they care. Because they ARE smarter. Send the Marines to Kabul. Let them show you.

Let that sink in a bit.

You're right. They are.

But they're far, far, far more likely to die in a transportation accident.

Yet I don't see you addressing that risk.

Why?

#93 | Posted by madbomber

Because transportation is a vital part of the economy that would destroy the country if we banned it. ------- DUH.

Being unvaxxed is not a vital part of the economy. Eliminating it does nothing but benefit everyone except morticians.

Thanks for the daily reminder that you're a moron who struggles with obvious concepts.

morticians have a stable job even if there's no pandemic.

And they hate funerals for kids.
