Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is speaking out regarding the rise of COVID-19 in Texas and placing the blame on various communities within the region. On Thursday, in an interview with host Laura Ingraham of Fox News show The Ingraham Angle, Patrick placed blame on the Democrats and African American community as to why the numbers are so high in the Lone Star state. "Most of the numbers are with the unvaccinated and the Democrats like to blame Republicans on that," said Patrick. "Well, the biggest group in most states are African Americans who have not been vaccinated. The last time I checked over 90 percent of them vote for Democrats in their major cities and major counties, so it's up to the Democrats to get just as that it's up to Republicans to try to get as many people vaccinated."

According to the CDC, the infection rate based on percentage of population is the same for African Americans as it is for Whites currently.

"Overall, across these 40 states, the percent of White people who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose (50%) was roughly 1.3 times higher than the rate for Black people (40%) and 1.1 times higher than the rate for Hispanic people (45%) as of August 16, 2021."

It's only +/- 10% per the CDC. Here's to hoping Greg & Dan are sent packing next year. mcconaughey/anybody with a pulse 2020.

If Republicans start thinking of getting vaccinated as a white people thing will that encourage them all to get vaccinated?

They're turning into the old white lady from Blazing Saddles. They call you an N word in the street, but then bring you a pie in the back window as long as nobody can see them do it. Using fake names to go sign up for vaccinations far from where they live so they aren't seen getting it.
