Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

When Houston narcotics officer Gerald Goines arrested Otis Mallet in 2008, he described a crack cocaine purchase in which Mallet retrieved the drug from a can inside a truck and handed it to his brother, Steven, whom Goines had paid $200. Thanks to Goines' testimony, Mallet was sentenced to eight years in prison. But today, the Houston Chronicle reports, Harris County prosecutors joined Mallet's lawyers in urging a judge to declare him "actually innocent" because Goines "repeatedly lied about nearly every aspect" of the case. The judge agreed.

The handling of Mallet's case seems to be in character for Goines, who wrote the fraudulent search warrant affidavit for the January 2019 drug raid that killed a middle-aged couple, Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas, in their home on Harding Street.

This is exactly due to the idiotic war on drugs, it gives cops Carte Blanche to frame people, rob people blackmail people. Wasnn't it invented by Richard Nixon, the Mafia's President?

"The Mafia's President: Nixon and the Mob"

So, considering that it is sort of obvious who the war on drugs was intended to benefit and it did millions of times here in the U.S. as our drug problems just grew worse. The only thing that started to cut into their profits came from pharmateutical companies pushing opiods and killing millions. We should disband the DEA and legalize drugs because that would hurt the profits of the illegal drug traders just like it eliminated the incomes of liquor smugglers made possible by prohibition.
I hope Gerald Goines goes to prison for a very long time. And whatever happens to him there....I just don't care.

"Judge finds corrupt cop also framed a man in 2008"

'I can't help but wonder if the response to this article would have been different if it had been about a nurse who had made false statements in sworn testimony, and framed innocent people, Instead of the cops'...Miranda7

Am I right Miranda?

Who is Miranda? Trying to envision how a nurse's testimony could falsely imprison someone?
