Florida's Department of Health changed the way COVID-19 deaths are counted in the state as the delta variant was spreading, which led to an "artificial decline" in deaths.

Well duh. And even when cooking the books, they're still going like gangbusters.

Artificial stats are trickle-down utopia.

A dozen here, a hundred there, pretty soon you're talking real deaths, eh, Rona Ronnie?

If you stick your fingers in your ears shut your eyes and go na na boo boo I can't hear you then you won't have any COVID deaths.

You have totally nailed the RonaRonnie approach. Kudos, TAO.

Ha! So much for 'open' data. They can only play "hide the dead people" for so long though. Covid does not care about politics or numbers - just who is vaccinated.

Transparency? Always. Except when inconvenient

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics ...

Next up on the Florida Death Watch: Governor Ron will blame the press for this story, arguing that if they didn't report this turn of events it would not have happened. In this matter DeathSentance is pretty much on an island, with only his paid lackeys to support his words. More and more other Florida pols are inching away from what DeSantis is saying and doing, for fear of Florida voters and also for fear of Florida crazies, angry over the deaths of loved ones ...

Sacrificing elders on the altar of RonaRon's ambition? As the little guy himself snarled, Florida "is God's waiting room."

So, yeehaw! Line up yer kids for a dose. Hurry, hurry, hurry, Gawd's waiting. And don't worry if your faith wavers; we've got plenty of large animal dewormer on hand.

Was there any doubt about data being hidden dealing with covid after the removing of data scientist Rebekah Jones from the Florida Department of Health and the attempt to have her arrested and tried in court? She refused to massage covid data to make it look better than it was. That told you last year how this was going to go when it came to getting out accurate data to be able to make plans by officials to deal with this.

It was always about DeSantis and him looking good with false or hidden data, or using the least damaging data. It was never about dealing with Covid on a factual basis that could save lives.

DeSantis's only purpose was to look good in the media and if the peons died, that was minor collateral damage.

Where da righties at?

Republicans are absolute geniuses at finding new ways to cheat elections or hide the truth.

But then when they get into power they are completely incompetent. Why don't they hire the guys that help them cheat to help them govern?

Well it is easier to claim victory than actually do the work.

How is this that different than what happened on June 14th, 2020, when the CDC changed the reporting procedures to reflect confirmed and probable cases, as opposed to confirmed cases.

#16 There were limited ways to test for COVID-19 in the middle of 2020, so including suspected cases makes sense.

Tests are now abundant.

Well this is being done in a state that jailed a whistleblower for revealing their fraudulant covid accounting.

You think they deserve the benefit of the doubt?
