A deep dive into federal health data adds to those concerns, pointing to a significant decline in kidney function among those dubbed COVID-19 long-haulers -- and even among those who had mild infections of the virus.

They are probably at higher risk as well because they tend to hold their bladder longer without relieving themselves.

@#3 ... They are probably at higher risk as well because they tend to hold their bladder longer without relieving themselves. ...

And you know that, how?

I know you won't see this but you are a complete ignoramous.

Why would you even post something so utterly stupid, let alone think it?

I had a friend in Australia who died from Covid because his kidneys self-destructed. He also took Hydroxichloriquin. When he tested positive they asked him to be part of a study because he had malaria. He "recovered" from Covid, but three weeks later he fell seriously ill and died from kidney failure.

My wife has suffered many of the nearly identical symptoms of the Long Term Covid symptoms ever since returning from Paris in 1988.

Prior to her affliction, she was a high energy, high performing, young fast burning Finance Analysist, moving quickly up the corporate ladder.

We have consulted medical practitioners running the gamut from Massage Therapists, to the country's finest medical institutions: including Northwestern Hospital, University of Illinois Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and everywhere in between.

Nobody has ever had a clue as to the origin, OR TO ANY REMEDIATIATORY MEDICAL PLAN, of the mystery malady which turned this brilliant, high energy, young woman into a woman so betrayed by her physical body that she to this day, disabled, near bedridden, and always in pain.

The best the Medical Establishment has been able to do is to give her disease a name: "Systematic Exertion Intolerance Disease Syndrome."

Believe me when I share with you that she would off herself if she contracted Covid, survived, but, as a consequence, became any more debilitated than she has been for 3 decades and remains so to this day.

Stop thinking that 'recovering' from Covid means its victims will recover the life they had prior to their illness. Many will live a life so diminished they will rue the day they decided to ignore sensible defenses against it, and allow it to invaded decimate their body, and abilities.

The folks who die from Covid-idiocrasy are actually getting off cheap. Those who are brutally disabled, (and their families who will, perforce, turn their lives upside down to learn how to care for them) will have years of misery and deep regret for their ignorant ideological refusal to take proper safety protocols.

Please believe me. This Post Infection disability is something I wouldnt wish on anybody. Personal failure to understand it, fear the destruction it reaps, and defend one's self against it, will haunt Covid-Long victims with grievous regrets, and never ending grief, for the normal life they once enjoyed.

Be well, share the love, spread the joy, and defend yourselves.

#8 just curious if you have done whole genome sequencing.

Thanks for the warning. I fear it will fall on deaf ears, but nothing wrong with sounding the alarm.

Long-distance truck drivers may experience a higher incidence of kidney bruising or damage compared to other occupations, so adjust your seat comfortably and use a good quality seat cushion to absorb the vibrations caused by road bumps, potholes, and rough terrain.
