Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, September 01, 2021

Charlotte Observer Editorial Board: Few of us want to pay attention to Madison Cawthorn. In less than a year in Washington, the freshman representative from North Carolina has built the wrong kind of national reputation with allegations of sexual assault, a steady drip of misinformation, and far too many palm-to-face-moments

Nothing like brain damage to advance your political career as a Republican.

Madison Cawthorn Descending A Staircase (apologies to Marcel Duchamp)

Some folks feel strong with a gun in their hand. I think they are cowardly morons that live in fear of their fellow citizens. If only the news reminded is of an average day for many across the globe. The default day for most Americans is peaceful. And yet, some think they need to dress for WW3. It must stink to be that scared or ignorant of an animal. Humans have more wires to our reptilian brain than our login/reason center. Sad to see some can never find "reason" in a peaceful existence. Morons.

Cawthorn does these things because it gets him votes and money.

Cawthorn and those of his ilk - longtime posters here may smile at the use of that word - aren't the problem. They merely serve as manifestations of the deeper concern: their constituents and the others who encourage them by applauding their antics, tossing them loot, and providing the necessary votes. And these supporters - with the possible exception of some of the plutocrats, for whom investing in the likes of Cawthorn is just part of the work required to preserve and enhance their winnings - these supporters are possibly? probably? just as odious as (perhaps even moreso than) the public face of the political wing of the fascistic insurrectionst party formerly known as the GOP.

Not to mention his signature looks like a 12 year old learning to sign his name for the first time.

On the contrary. Cawthorn and his ilk - people who spread lies and propaganda to gullible morons in exchange for power and money - are exactly the problem. They're the problem in the media and they're the problem in government.

SPEAKSOFTLY ...
I get your point. My emphasis was the underlying problem, for which they are interchangeable barkers.
